i will use some generic numbers for the sake of calculation.
200 lbs
15% bf
maintanance cals 2000
12 week cycle
What is a good rule of thumb to add 15-20 lbs lbm and drop bf%?
For example, if a guy takes in 400 cals under Maintanance, will bf be burned as a form of energy to replace calorie deficit and be used as nutrients to build muscle along with a high protein diet and most carbs being consumed after a workout? Or is eating at a calorie deficit considered a cut no matter what?
Iis building muscle and eating at a calorie deficit mutually exclusive? Is the only way to execute a successful recomp to eat big to build, then cut?
