Rest Day

Fasting Weight: 205.7

Great day! Got 8.25 hours of sleep last night. The most in one night I’ve had in months. Crazy how much better you feel with some good sleep. Got up and went to the gym. Stretching, mobility, and shoulder rehab exercises per my daily routine. Shoulders feeling much better overall. That’s timely, considering Push Day tomorrow. LOVE PUSH DAY. Rest days being on Wednesday and Sunday are perfect and timely for the recovery of the shoulders for sure. Walked the treadmill just over 3 miles. Good reps in to start the day. Sitting at 8.2K steps and will finish the day with well over 10K which is about what I target on rest days. Continue to feel better and better on cycle. This morning after gym, the wife says she can definitely see me filling out and appearing bigger. Sometimes the little things go a long way. It was awesome to hear that. Ready to go hard in the morning. Let’s go!!!!
 
PUSH Day

Good workout today. Went up on weight on most exercises and kept reps within range. Shoulders tolerated it well. Feeling great. Good times.

Today was a bit challenging. Felt pretty good but just not the same gas in the tank that I’ve been having this week. Pushed through and had a pretty good workout. Cardio was rough after legs today. 💪

Rest Day

Got 7 hours sleep last night. Walked 3.5 miles on the treadmill this AM. About 8500 steps in so far today. The focus today is at least one nap! 😁 😴💤

Check-in with Coach went well. Says we are in good position and things are going as planned. No changes to macros this week.

How did your cardio cardio change going from cut to bulk? Seems you are still doing a hefty dose. I don’t doubt ketchup knows what he’s doing, just interested in understanding it.

Actually he’s titrating me down. 2 days at 30 minutes and 3 days at 25 minutes. I choose the day. Both leg days will be 25 and then probably tomorrow Pull day will be the other 25. Them I think he will start to bring me down a little more to just 25 min post workout all days. Them he will want to see what my weight does. He wants to keep me decently lean and bulk. So I’m not sure I’ll ever not have some cardio. We will see. But don’t mind the cardio. Good thing. 🤣

When reversing out of a long cut you titrate calories up while titrating cardio down. Also dependent on age and history.

I will say that I’m SO glad to get the energy and endurance back from the increased macros and getting saturated from beginning the cycle. Today felt the best so far. Not quite a full 2 weeks into the cycle. Each day has been a little better than the one before in terms of how I’ve felt. Stronger. Like wanting to do more. It feels great to be in that spot.
 
That makes a lot of sense. Good on you, BigD, for having the self control to do it right. What are your calories up to now? Going up weekly or just basing off your weight gain?

Coach evaluates each check-in and then makes adjustments if necessary. We won’t bump up as long as I’m gaining weight.

Today was the best day I’ve had in a while. Body is feeling strong and everything was just hitting on all cylinders it felt like. Leg Day is always taxing, but SO much better when you’re feeling the energy and endurance from getting saturated on cycle.

Check-In with coach went well. Everything is tracking as desired and we’re dropping cardio to 25 minutes post workout on all training days. Macros will stay the same for now while we see how I respond to the decreased cardio and what the weight does.

This week we will do back-off set to failure on all back and chest exercises. Going to hit it hard this week. This should be fun. 🤩

Brother! The most important thing is that you STARTED the journey. It takes time, discipline, dedication, and most importantly consistency. Dial in your nutrition, training, and get plenty of rest. Lock it in. Accept nothing but everything you’ve got to meet your goals. You deserve to be the best version of yourself. You will be better for you and everyone else in your life. Hit me up if you ever have any questions. I’ve been there. I understand how difficult it can be. But I also know the amazing feeling of all the achievements along the way. GET IT!!!
