Update -

The knee is fine. There's nothing on the x ray, so it's just tendinitis.

Wrist is "dislocated." Not in the normal sense though.

The picture below is not my x ray but it points to the "dislocated" area. Those bones should be together and mine aren't. It's pretty common for this injury to need surgery, and seeing as how I've gone over 2 months with it, that's probably where I'm heading.

Gotta book an appointment with the ortho to see what he says, but I'm hopeful that wearing a splint will be enough.

Until I know i need surgery, I'll continue to prep. If I do need surgery, then I'll have to end the prep and start over at a later date.

Take care of that man. I dislocated my wrist years ago and never got it fixed. I should probably see a chiropractor. Doing stuff like hammering causes lots of pain.

take care of it ,thanks ,

Here's my xray.

You can see the gap in the bones there. They're supposed to be almost touching like the other small ones.

The knee. The spikey points in the center are normal. But that piece on the left outside, it's abnormal from everything I've seen. No idea. I'll see if the surgeon can give advice on that Friday when i go get the verdict.

Bright side, cause I'm always looking for that, there's plenty of cushion there so probably just tendinitis which i can help after i get done with this prep

Check in.

No training push yday or pull today. Surgeon appointment in the morning to see about the wrist.

Hopefully not the last check in of this prep.

Well, bad news

The wrist is fucked.

Apparently this isn't a recent injury. Arthritis has developed in the wrist where the bones are not in the correct position so, it's been injured for a long time.

Knowing that, I think I knee when I injured it and it was about a year and a half ago at work.

Ligament is torn.

Dr ordered an mri so I'll have that done and see what's next.

I assume I'll have surgery but, the Dr said it might be too late with the arthritis. I dunno, I can't do shit with my hand in this condition though.

Prep is over. Time to heal.

Fuck sorry coach

Well the saga continues.

Got pulled out of work, couldn't do my job effectively anyways, so I'm in a holding pattern.

Monday I've got my mri, hopefully I don't have a panic attack, I don't do well in confined spaces. Wednesday I have the follow up to see what the plan is.

I'm very adamant about getting this thing fixed. Dr didn't seem like he wanted to do surgery but, I can't do my job with the thing like this, much less train. I don't see a way to not be in pain with everything floating around in there aside from life long cortisone intentions which will eventually leave the wrist unusable I would think.

Either way. Here's a back double from check ins today. that hurts to do to

I almost stopped my MRI. Felt like I couldn't breath. I had to keep reminding myself that I would lose the money and have to pay it again. That's the only thing that helped. Being stingy lol.
If I ever have to get one again I'm having them knock me out. They put a wet rag on my eyes that was supposed to help somehow. Didn't do shit. Good luck brother!

Ouch sorry to hear about your hand, Monte. Hopefully you get a referral to a good hand surgeon who can perhaps repair it so that you can get better use of the hand.

Getting old does suck ass.

It sucked.

I was fine being in the tube but, i had to lay on my stomach with my arm stretched out and my hand clamped in a thing. Fucking awful. It's the worst position I can think of too lay in, much less not move lol.

Shoulder was screaming and hand fell asleep so tingle city.

I made it though, barely and drenched in sweat from pain after lol

I was lucky to be fitted with earphones that played some classic rock music when I had an MRI scan of my head some years back. Yeah such a narrow space can be so terrifying!

I'll be having surgery. 3 months recovery time post op. They will fuse 3 bones together and do a nerve degeneration as well. I'll have wires sticking out of the wrist for 6 weeks then after they're removed I'll start pt.

That's rough. Stay strong 💪🏻.
Sounds like a ton of HGH is in order post-op.

Dang man! Well hope the surgery goes well! Get that BPC-157, TB-500 and HGH ready to go post op!

Still waiting to hear back on surgery date.

Not much going on ATM. Still "training" but it's very limited.

I started an upper/ lower split since what I can do on upper days is very limited.

I can train back with versa grips and train biceps but, I can't load as I usually would, especially biceps and i can't grip with the thumb.

"Push" movement is hit or miss. I can kinda press flat if I suicide grip and keep any weight away from the thumb. Any decline incline or overhead is too painful. laterals are fine but, again, i can't use the thumb, just fingers.

So the upper days are split up pretty evenly between body parts.

My lower days are more specific.

Every session I'm training Adductors, calves and glutes but 1 day is hamstring focus, 1 is quad focus, 1 is overall leg (more wide stance movements) and i also dedicate extra attention to rehab and rehab.

Each lower day I'm doing some type eccentric work for the knees. Step downs, band extensions, static holds on the leg extension, reverse sled drags, reverse treadmill or iso holds on the hack. I'm hoping this will help with overall knee health since they've been fucked for so long. It won't get rid of the bone spurs obviously but, just hoping for tendon strength.

I'm also rolling the quads with the gym pin, weighted stretches and some bike work as well.

I swore to myself to make the most out of this down time so I'm gonna do just that. When i can't use the hand at all, my upper days will be dedicated to self PT.

Should have the bpc and tb arriving soon which is good cause I've ran out of bpc in the last day.

Have my surgery scheduled for the 25th.

Talked with my surgeon again and before he goes in and fuses the bones in the hand he's going to look at the cartilage between those 3, apart from the tendon that's torn, and see how it looks. If that cartilage is in good shape, he's going to clean out the torn tendon and whatever else is floating around that might be causing the pain instead of fusing.

The mri we did didn't show great images so, he doesn't want to do any more then needed to fix it which i appreciate.

He will go ahead and do the nerve degeneration regardless since I've got arthritis starting. It won't effect anything with my hand or wrist feel or use wise he said.

I've been doing what I can in the gym. Lots of Cable work with cuffs farther up on the forearm for push. Diet is still in place, food increased a little since there's no reason to keep it low.

Drugs were pulled a few weeks back. 250mg of test only atm.

Weight holding around 240-245.

Walking the neighborhood for an hour every night since I'm not getting steps in at work.

Ultimate holding pattern atm.

Not all that much happening over here training wise. Weight bottomed out at 235 today. No drugs, eating when I feel like it. Lots of sleep. Pretty lean, especially for being off a good while and ending prep. Taking a few extra days from legs since they will be the focus after I can move around well enough and my hand isn't completely raw. They'll get a proper hammering so they need it.

Did my last upper session for the foreseeable future today. Not even worth going in for IMO, flys and one arm cable cuff half ass rows aren't much to get excited about.

On the bright side, taking my youngest to a concert tomorrow night. The band is on my bucket list so I'm excited to get to share that with her. My kids like all music so a 2000s rock band works, she's been listening to all their stuff non stop the last 2 months. Kids got good tastes in music

My middle daughter went to MEPS and got "sworn in" to the navy this week. She will ship out January 7th..... so excited for her but damn I'm nervous. Not to mention she wanted to be Military Police lol. She wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement/psychology after the service so, it's something she wanted.

My surgery is Friday...yay......i hope I can do SOMETHING relatively soon after. Wiping your ass with your left hand is an art form and, I can't sit still..... not much i can do with one good hand.

Saturday is my oldest baby shower. I've got pulled pork, beans, and potato salad for 50 I've got to pull off somehow between now, the concert, and the surgery. I've got 2 pork butt's, one i just seasoned arms wrapped in plastic wrap to sit until tomorrow night. I cook em in the instant pot, ain't got time, or the smoker to smoke them. Plus, they're so easy in the pot and never dry.

I'll get it done though. Always do

Well I'm alive.

Surgery went okay nothing that we had talked about doing we actually did instead we wound up fusing four bones in my wrist / hand and did the nerve degeneration.

They did a nerve block before we started surgery it was supposed to last anywhere from 24 to 48 hours but it only lasted 10. So that night around 10:00 p.m. my arm and hand started coming back alive and I had the worst pain I've ever had in my entire life. Didn't sleep very much got sick threw up and stayed awake on the couch all night and morning trying to figure out how I could ease the pain.

Some of y'all know that I'm a recovering alcoholic and addict and I don't take pain pills so I don't have any but it did have some kratom specifically red vein and I used quite a bit of that over the next 24 hours.

Anyways we're still alive we're still kicking Payne's getting a little better. I've got a lot of swelling in my hand my fingers are purple I called the doctor today to see what it was from I thought maybe my splint rap or whatever was too tight but he said that the surgery was quite a bit more major than we had intended and it was normal. Between bone grafts and splitting my hand basically from my middle knuckle past my wrist and folding it all the way open so they could do the surgery the swelling and the the bruising was the expected. I can't really move my fingers very much just a little bit but he instructed me to move start moving them and doing whatever I could with him without causing pain maybe that would help the swelling go down but it will take time.

On the right side recently got a shipment of tb500 and bpc 157 from iron lion but I started the week before surgery. I can't locally inject into the hand or wrist right now because of all the swelling in the splint basically covers it up so I'm doing bilateral shots in my knees and then I'm doing one shot in my forearm on the right side where the surgery was. Hopefully it'll help recovery time overall we're talking six weeks in a 6 weeks in a cast and then however long it takes for physical therapy so possibly early February.

Today was the first day I went back to train I can't sit around the house it drives me crazy. Just did legs nothing crazy got some blood flowing there's a lot more that I can do that I thought I couldn't do as far as like training goes I just got to be smart with my setups and how close to failure I'm pushing everything and then remembering that I cannot use my right hand at all to rack the weight or to spot or anything of the sort. But it was good tomorrow I'll go do an upper session which will basically be a bunch of flies on a machine that we've got that doesn't take you basically just use your elbows to do the fly I'll do some rear delt stuff on that same machine same idea no arms just using the elbows a little bit of bicep and tricep work on the on the good side and then we have a seated side lateral but I'll be able to use to do something with delts.

I might come up with other things but as of right now I cannot use my right hand to do anything at all I can't even take a pin out of a weight stack and move it so pretty limited I know I'm going to shrink and I'm going to get smaller doses are 300 mg of test a week two I use a growth I might bump that up to five just want to give this peptides some time to maybe start doing their thing and see how everything's going.

Also this entire message was done on voice to text which is super cool cuz I am right-handed and that is the hand that is fucked up so. It's coming pretty handy also, wiping your ass, doing shots, reconstituting peptides, putting on deodorant, eating at all when you can't keep the plate still and of course taking a shower we're all very difficult when you only got one hand.

Hope you heal up man. Funny when I had my titanium elbow put in, my arm was basically cut halfway thru I had very little pain after surgery. Was strange actually.
