I have a very large family. This is the first year for as long as I remember I am skipping them all. Taking my kids and wife headed to the mountains for three nights skiing and spending it alone in a cabin without 60 plus people in the house.Any of you guys doing anything fun or special this year?

we’re doing Thanksgiving day here at our house. Then Friday we do it again but mostly just appetizers for another part of the family. Then Saturday is another turkey dinner at another part of the family’s. Should be some good times.
That’s what it all about though. It’s supposed to be loud and chaotic, kids running around, uncle Fred complaining about his lumbago, cousin Bobby telling kinda inappropriate jokes, aunt Marge telling your mom she’s making grammas recipe wrong lol. It’s supposed to be a zoo, throw in a few dogs and an impromptu flag football game and you got a family

Yup lol this is the way it should be. We pile into a small house for hollidays on my mom’s side . A row home style house with 20+ people in side lol it’s pretty chaotic. My gram passed though last may. So hollidays are starting to dwindle away at her house. My grandfather does not want to do it anymore. Hurts him to much. I’m pretty sure this is the last time we’re ganna do hollidays there. Ganna suck moving forward but I understand him 100%.That’s what it all about though.
