Who here just enjoys the daily grind and has no plans to compete and who currently competes or plans to. I myself plan to do a show, maybe a few, depending on how my first one goes. The challenge motivates me.

If I could just get my shit together for a whole year, I would Try in the over 45 group, Family and kids sports makes it really hard to be on a good level and commitment to training good enough to get on that Stage. Good luck to you Big Rich.

Yea bodybuilding is a very selfish sport. It's hard enough with family and all their sports. That has always been my issue.

I just enjoy lifting and getting stronger. I'm 56 and busy with life. I making up for lost time from being married to a BORING woman.

No desire to compete whatsoever. I’ve pushed my body to the extremes enough. In the gym 5 days a week which is just fine for me

As an aging adventure sports athlete it's really about performing well at and enjoying the things I love for as long as possible. Surfing, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, all that good stuff. The aesthetics are a nice bonus (though my girlfriend will tell you the aesthetics are the main feature haha) and I truly love the process and the meditative nature of the grind. I can't see myself ever competing, it's just not the part that interests me, but mad respect for those that have the dedication to go for it.

For me it's learning the process that interests me. Putting in the hard work has never been a issue. Being comfortable in my own skin always has. It will be alot for me to overcome the fear of being judged in front of ppl.

I wouldn’t mind doing a show but it would be a long way out. Need to put on at least 40lbs of lean mass first lol.

But I honestly just love the grind. Building not just my body but my willpower. Learning how to control my muscles and being able to flex them on command (last week I finally “figured out” how to start a pulldowns by actively contracting my lats and flexing them in the eccentric to a greater degree). Took me a long time to break a lot of bad habits but I’m getting there slowly
