Starting a log to document and share my journey.

I’ve been obese all of my life. By 13 I was around 240 lbs, and by 20 I was 420. Through various means(including hopping on gear like an idiot) I got down into the 240s by 2019. During that cycle I hurt my back and stopped all gear, training and activity. Was completely sedentary, given up on myself and ballooned up to 350 in six years.

In July 2025 I started tirzepatide and trt, went from 350 to 300 in about three months just from eating less. Was anxious to start working out because I had no solid plan and was afraid of hurting my back again.

In October I started training under the guidance of @Meetketchup .Weight went from 299.5 on Oct 13 to 247.8 this morning.

The goal is to get lean as fuck and then grow some muscles. For now I don't have any timelines or weight targets.

Attached some before/current photos, "before" is me @299.5 and current are from yesterday's check-in with the coach.

Current stats and routine:
Age: 31
Height: 6'1
Weight: 247.8
Macros: 260p / 170c / 45f (140c on non-training days)
Training: Upper/Lower split, 4x/week
Cardio: incline treadmill 200 min/week, none scheduled on lower days
Steps: 8–9k/day (tracking only outdoor walks)

Current gear and supplements:
Test E 60 mg E3.5D
Tirzepatide 2 mg EOD
Tadalafil, creatine, multivitamins, magnesium glycinate, omega-3

This dude is an absolute machine. Week in and week out consistently dropping weight working his ass off. Never complains, asks, great questions, submits workout videos for form checks and is one of the most consistent guys you’ll ever see. Doing it all on TRT.

Let’s f’ing go!

KUDOS on the TRT route. I'm following.

Now that is some serious progress my man! Hard work shows in the photos. I'm following along for sure.
that current back double looks like you are holding a good amount of muscle in your delts and arms, going to look sick when you finish cutting.
Keep up the great work.

Good shit dude!

Making good progress. I’m down over 130lbs right now. (Since March) I know it’s not easy, but keep pushing! @Meetketchup coaches me as well, you’re in good hands brother.

Appreciate all the encouragement from everyone.

I went back to the photos I posted and I looked vertically stretched lmao I guess collages are too hard to make properly. Going to post these maybe once a month.

Upper A today. Tried pec fly machine instead of cables and it's still fucking with my shoulder. Came in late and didn't have enough time to play around with angles.

Was also busy throughout the day and no food prepped untill evening. Now it's 10pm I'm finishing my cardio, then have to get home and finish two more meals. Usually I'm more disciplined about this.

Rest day with 40 mins incline treadmill.

Weird thing I noticed is I started getting doms recently. Same training volume and almost same weights for several months, same supplements, macros, almost same amount of sleep and stress - nothing changed. Wondering if it's a good sign or bad sign. Not a big deal anyway, just weird.

Food is boring. Made over 5 pounds of chicken and 5 pounds of rice with veggies, going to be eating that over the next few days. Some extra fruit during training days.

The food thing can get old! Don't be afraid to throw some Pork and Fish in there... as long as there's no "restrictions" to either.
Coach has me on 45Gs of fat P/D... the right cut of pork is high in protein and relatively low in fat. The same goes for fish... surprisingly, some fish is higher in fat than the chicken and Turkey I eat.
Just curious.... what does he have your macros set at?
I'm on a recomp/lean bulk and he just raised me to 585Gs of Carbs on lift days and 275 on off days. Protein stays the same at 230...

Currently at 260p/170c/45f, 140c rest days.

I eat chicken because it's cheapest. Fish and beef costs about 2-3x, turkey 5x. Sometimes when I want to "treat" myself I buy canned tuna in brine. I also occasionally eat dairy protein in form of skim milk, 0 fat skyr/greek yogurt/cottage cheese. Pork loins are actually quite cheap here as well, been thinking about trying them for some time.

I've consumed approximately metric shitton if chicken breasts since starting and so far I'm not too exhausted, glp is really helping with not giving a shit about what I'm eating.

I hear you on the food costs bro! Hey man, as long as you're good with the cluck for now. I was on the verge of sprouting feathers at one point so I feel you on the huge amounts... either way, good luck.

same, i mostly buy chicken breast, and try to do ground beef 1 meal a day. generally for me ill make 10 - 12 lbs of chicken breast on sunday, and about 3 lbs of ground beef on sunday.

although when cutting it was just all chicken breast. When putting on weight, it seems varying your protein sources is highly recommended.

i actually found some 98/2 turkey breast yesterday. never seen it available in my area. picked up 3 lbs.

I currently buy frozen breasts for 2.7/lb (fresh taste better but cost x3). I could also buy lean ground beef, that costs x4. I could buy meat myself, grind it and then guesstimate fat percentage, but that would still cost atleast x2-3 of chicken breasts. I just can't justify the costs in my head.

Perhaps I haven't spent enough time on this diet and will be willing to spend more once I start sprouting feathers lol

You ever get that mid-chew realization that you're utterly disgusted with the food you're eating... give it time🙃.

Lmao for sure, i may or may not have even gagged a few times. I remember I tried eating a bunch of egg whites initially, just microwaving that snot and eating it, chicken breasts are definitely much better.
