We humans are so narcissistic and selfish that we think an entity such as God truly cares for our welling moreso then any other creature on this planet. The bible and religion is just a tool created by society to control society, not that its a bad thing as humans can be somewhat self destructive.

When you look into the sky at night you see all those bright stars. Theres a shit ton of them. Each one of those stars then has planets and moons orbiting it. Beyond that there are infinite number of other galaxies with there infinite number of stars and planets. As huge as this entire existence is and then this little tiny planet earth we think God really cares about are miniscule lives? Very wishful thinking.

Imagine a 1000 piece puzzle and multiplying it by inifinity. People are one little piece of that huge puzzle. We some how fit in, we just dont how yet. There is no way we'd have the brain power to comprend it all if the answer was put right in front of us . We've also simplified God into this father like figure, but his existance it much more grander than that to which we can not fully understand.

Kind of lost my motivation in Reading this week and even the gym.

Last week was super stressful and I think I just am burnt out from everything.

Anyone ever feel like that?

Anyone wanna give me an idea of a very short reading (chapter and versus that might inspire me to get back on track?) Would be appreciated.

I read a proverb on IG that I found very cool. I meant to save it but I cant recall where I found it or precisely what it said.

Sometimes if I get bored of reading I will look up quotes on IG. Im the type of person who is more of a visual learner, then someone who learns from reading.

Hey brother one thing that I've done in the past and want to again is read the proverbs, 1 chapter a day and in a month you've read them all. Some do that continually. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me is a good one (Philippians 4:13). Actually that whole chapter will probably speak to you.

I workout at workout anytime (great gym!) and noticed a basket labeled "spiritual vitamins" and assumed it was some self-help new age stuff since the world hates Christ and God's word for the most part, afraid to offend someone (but not afraid to offend God). I finally checked one out and have been getting one every day. I couldn't believe they were Bible verses and thanked and encouraged the manager. You never know who will read the word and be saved or encouraged. Here's one from today and yesterday. Let's act like who we really are and walk as victors because of what our King did and is doing in us.

I read maybe 8-12 hours each day, everyday. Its my form of entertainment. I went to a private school growing up and was formally taught Bible for about 8 years including Seminary level classes. I have been involved in Church leadership on and off over the years. Understanding the book and how it effects world view has been a passion of mine. Sometimes that passion is bright and hot, other times dim and cold. In my studies early on I researched and read about different denominations and different religions. I had a prayer early on that I prayed over and over. "God, show me the truth, I don't care what the truth is I just want to know it". At the time I was struggling to understand the differences between Jehovah Witness doctrine and how to reconcile it to traditional Christian doctrine. That time in my life opened up a door to study many denominations and "cults". Anyway, there is a lot more to the story but I'll leave it at that for now.

I believe we are in the last days. What is happening in Israel and around the world are signs. Never in the history of the world has there been a time in which we are so close to having the technology to control what every person on the planet buys or sells. The mark could be implemented quickly. With world economies stretched to the limits, the possibility of a great reset or new economic global system has never been closer.
Trump legitimizing Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel and building a US embassy there has set the 7 year peace plan negotiations back into motion. There are even talks of the Palestinians coming to the table after the UAE said they want a peace agreement with Israel. If you are older then you understand how amazing this is. The Sanhedrin and other groups in Israel want to renew animal sacrifice and have asked for permits to do so for the last few years very close to the temple mount. The alter is built as well as the temple tools. A temple could be built and operational VERY quickly.

The tribulation period will be a great time of maximum distress and hopelessness. I believe the tribulation is very close and consequently the departure of believers. Now is the time of repentance. Focus on your families and friends. Focus on helping strangers. Pretty soon our worldly possessions will mean nothing.

I'm not highly religious either but like you I do believe there is probably a god and I sense that if we consistently choose to be evil and a POS in life that we will suffer consequences after life.
A lot of religions and their 'books' are fine as long as they don't condone terrorism/killing other people.
I do not believe everything in the bible but the stories are interesting and there is nothing wrong with the basic morals it points out. Basically it is a guide to being a decent human being.

I agree. The magic stories are nonsence but it is an excellent guide to live by
