56yr old F. Started Estrogen and progesterone in July. Added Test end of Aug thru telehealth. First test labs test was 17ng (all I got) Lab update next month. 10mg a week 2 doses of .05 mg Friday and Tuesdays. I feel good so far.

I have been giving my wife 10 mg of test C a week and her total test levels came back at 256 mg/L. She is completely freaking out thinking that that is too high although she hasn’t seen any negative side effects other than “feeling like a teenage boy” due to her increased libido.

So, if anyone else could please provide some input based on their dosage and blood levels, it would be greatly appreciated.

Although the increased libido is welcomed and appreciated, I do not wish any unwelcome virilization upon her.

Hey, that's quite a jump from 10mg/week! I can see why she's a bit freaked out. My wife's on a similar journey, and it's definitely a balancing act. Before she started, her test levels were super low, like around 8. Now she is taking 15-20mg a week and her total test is in the 200s. Another user mentioned his wife is on 10mg/week and her test level is 83, but she also has PCOS, which can affect things.

It sounds like you're doing the right thing by monitoring and being cautious. Maybe you could dial back the dosage a little and see if that helps bring her levels down to a sweet spot where she feels good without the unwanted side effects? It might take some experimenting to find what works best for her.

My gf was on 8mgs of cyp/wk dosed 4mg e3.5d. Her levels came back at 221. She freaked out as well, but had no virulization. She was feeling kind of shitty though and had some acne.

We switched her to 1mgs of test prop ED. She feels much better and acne completely cleared. Have yet to check her levels. A lot of women do well with higher than reference range testosterone, but it’s 100% side effect dependent.

Did you pull bloods in the trough of her test levels?

Mine came back at 121ng/dl 2 months ago on 18mg of Test Cypionate injection 1x weekly subQ. I feel great-husband and I am happy and there is no noticeable virulization. I’m looking for a new reliable source now though.

6mg 2x/week & she is a little over 200 at 52yrs old.
I personally would split the dose in half & pin 2x a week instead of 1x per week to level peaks & lows, just my opinion.

My Dr has me on 1mg Estradiol tables and 100mg progesterone pills, 10mg T (2 dose a week) as well as 10 mcg vagifem inserts for the UTI's.

I’m on a 0.75 mcg estradiol patch which I apply 2x weekly and estriol cream to the vagina EOD. My family doctor gave the rx for the patch and I order the cream from an offshore pharmacy. These are both for MHT. I don’t use progesterone because I do not have a uterus. 56 y/o female 5’1 & 108 pounds.

My wife is with at TRT cliinic for 25mg bottle of Cyp. She takes 3.75 M and 3.75 on Thurs. She gets her estrogen from her PCP. The test has really been the key to her estrogen. She feels much better and I can say she is calmer and pleasant again. The sex drive is a plus. No side effects at all.
