why most of the people are on low-carb diet instead of just looking at total kcal deficit?

i read alot about dieting, some places its saying it doesnt matter how much carbs u consume, but the overall daily deficit matters.
alot of people also complain they look “flat”, have no energy, loose strength, consuming only 100-120g carbs daily, but im cutting and i never look flat, not loosing any strength and i feel well overall because i have enough carbs, and my kcals are 500 under maintenance.
some ppl say they consume 300-350g protein, but they weight around 85-95kg for example. even if somebody is 95kg, x 3g protein per kilogram thats 285g. still way too much than the references. so why dont just up the carbs and dont stay flat during cut, or theres any specific reason idk about it?
maybe when we go deep into a cut (for example 12-10%? 9-8/7%?)
whats the reason about that i cant understand, again, isnt the total daily and weekly calorie intake the thing that dictates if we loose or gain weight?

edit: just hopped in my head..
for example u cut on tren, but tren burns out your glyco bcs of his specific action, and makes ppl look flat, on the other side, he keeps muscle from loss very efficiently, so u dont need 300..400g protein, if u need 2,2-2,4g protein/kg, with tren u can go with 1,9-2g protein and keep all the muscle, so why dont consume little less protein and up alot more the carbs so dont stay flat and have better performance? bcs i read aswell some threads that ppl cut on tren and use very low carb diets. why?

I lose fat and feel good on <100g carbs. I keep that up as much as I can. Bread, pasta, potatoes... are good and I eat them occasionally but mostly just eat vegetables and fruit for carbs. Try to keep carbs <200 always.

Everyone is different and low carb works for me for maintenance and only way I can lose weight. If I didn't like the way I felt or looked I would definitely figure something else out though.

There are different reasons but often carb diets reduce hunger and cravings for people.

Carbs are good around training as they raise insulin which increases nutrient uptake into muscle. If youre eating them all day and your glycogen is already full they are more likely to turn to fat storage. Carb timing is critical. I personally do very low carb for breakfast and lunch and eat about 150 with dinner ( I work out 5-7pm right before dinner). Im 42 w a six pack. Non training days i do lower carb higher fat. Works for me

For me the more carbs I eat the more I crave.

I recently had a glucose challenge test done and even my Dr doesn't really understand the results but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with why I feel better with low carb.

Fasting glucose was 110. 2 hours after 75g glucose drink it was 47. Dr called me several times left urgent messages, called my wife... My insulin response is abnormal was all my Dr could tell me. I've added 1 serving of oats and 1 serving of chia seed a day at her suggestion. Another 5-7 grams soluble fiber from metamucil as well.

Total daily carbs now average about 125 and I feel great. Follow up with a nutritionist in August (first appointment) to see if I can get more info.
