I'm tired of doing cardio in the gym and I've been looking at these Bowflex MaxClimbers. I didnt want a full size elliptical to take up my entire room which is why I liked the smaller foot print, and these seem reasonably priced on market place. Anyone have experience with them? If you have experience with other home equipment (good or bad) I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Those things seem decent. Was looking at one myself, but I'm more of a fan of just walking.
Each day I wake up and do 20-25 mins on a Small treadmill I recently got. Its more of a high-end "walking pad" as they call them.
(But its a heavier/beefier one w/ handle/rails).
Does the job for me... I also go out for two 20 minute+ walks with the dog each day. (Not now when its freezing out though).

Rogue Echo Bike (use this the most at home)

Sole elliptical E95 (this is ok, have plans to replace it with a life fitness, the life fitness ones have a much better and more comfortable stride length and body position for me)

Rogue Echo Rower ( wife loves the rower, the rogue is better than the concept2 imo)

I would really like a Jacob’s Ladder (expensive though unless you get a refurbed or used on on marketplace or e-bay) and a continuous rope pull or ski-erg.

I've seen mixed reviews on Nordic Track build quality. Have you had any issues with yours?

Well honestly, the mixed reviews aren't just Nordic Track. All the home equipment seem to have either 1 star or 5 stars. People either say that the equipment is amazing or its junk. Its really hard to decipher.

I've used one in the gym. Thats not cardio, thats borderline torture. 🤣 I think I did 5 minutes and died 6 times. Its brutal.
They have one at one of the gyms I go to as well. I really like it once I hit a steady stride. Feels a little awkward at first sometimes.

I have a treadmill and recently upgraded my elliptical to a Stairmaster step mill after hearing Jay Cutler and Phil Heath talk about how it blew up their legs, which I can tell you after about six weeks I'm already seeing huge benefits.

The wife loves her peloton bike, so we have one of those and a treadmill in the garage gym. Not small footprint, but good for what they do, at least for us.

If I were footprint limited, I’d prolly go with a stairstepper as they take less floor space and you can decide how crazy to get with pace. Won’t get you ready for a marathon but it’ll burn calories and spike your HR if you get after it

I have a cheap recumbent. Was like 120 bucks, gets the job done. Also a cheapie treadmill i put plates under it to incline walk.

I’m a walker too, got one of those walking pads that has handles to hold on to and inclines. At the moment I walk 45 min. After my morning lifts and then 25 min. after a light meal around 3 pm and another 25 min after dinner , about 6 pm.

knocks on wood

I use it every night without issue. Seems to be pretty good from my experience. I’ve had it since the beginning of the year.

Update: I really liked the small walking pads that yall recommended but ended up finding a used MaxTrainer on FB Marketplace yesterday for $100. Money is tight after xmas and two car transmissions in the last month. Used it for the first time this morning. This thing kicked the shit out of me. It's like a step machine and elliptical had a demonic step-child. It's a pretty small footprint and gives a really good workout. I'm just thankful for no more gym cardio. Having it at home will allow me to increase my cardio hours.

Rhythmic hip thrusts in repetitive manner with random nurses, teachers and other divorced single moms off tinder!!!

I also own a used kieser spin bike I got off offer up

i had one of those bowflex ones for a bit and man let me tell you those things are absolute killers on the lungs lol. its like a mix between a stairmaster and an elliptical but way more intense so you definitely wont be doing it for an hour while watching netflix unless your a cardio god. the footprint is nice for sure but honestly check the rails and rollers before you buy it used because they can get kinda squeaky and annoying if the previous owner didnt grease em up. i ended up selling mine and just getting a cheap concept 2 rower because it folds up and gives me a better full body burn but if you just want to sweat buckets in 15 minutes the max trainer is a solid bet. just be ready for your quads to be screaming at you after the first few minutes!!

Once upon a time when I was a much younger man, I rowed collegiately. I hate every erg out there except the Concept 2. I'm a HUGE Rogue fan. But IMO their rower is a pale imitation of the world's best rower ever created, which is the Concept 2. Made in Vermont and used exclusively by every club, Collegiate and Olympian rower in the world. There is a reason why Concept 2 dominates the market... simplicity im design, rugged machine, and infinite resistance adjustability. Just my 2 cents.
