Beaches, nice weather, people are super cool

Everything about it I love

If I "had to" pick a second place I think I would pick OUTER BANKS, North and South Carolina.

Plus fireworks are legal in these States.

Win Win.

I grew up on Jax Beach. I absolutely love it there and St. Augustine

I have family in St. Pete/Tampa

Also some of the Ocala areas (not a fan)

Nevertheless I love FL compared to any State I have been to.

City wise, if I had to pick my favorite major city I love Boston.

Are we talkimg geography or politics (i.e liberal infestations)?

I would like to kill some pythons in the Everglades someday. I heard they are fetching 300- 500 bucks a snake these days. Plus I hate snakes. But fuck the humidity. Lol
 
For me?....tops would be Hawaii....been there a couple times for vacation.

Second....North Carolna along the coast....Top Sail Beach.....the wife and I go down every year, same time of year, same location......love it down there

I vacationed at Top Sail every year as a teen.

What a small world LOL.

I was at the Arcade and even trained at one of the local gyms there every year on vacation

Mine is right here where I live, NH.
One of the lowest for crime, one of the least diverse (please see the previous bolded point), very gun friendly (please see that previous bolded point again) and beautiful and mostly scenic.
(Lakes, mountains, oceans, etc).
(Very few big cities). I'm not a fan of winter and will go south for winters when retired, but I will always be here for Spring, Summer, Fall.

I caught a 9’ in Florida last summer. You have to have a license to get paid for it (so I actually gave it to a guy and his kid that I ran into who were also out looking). He gets $200 for up to 4’ & then an additional $50 per Ft after (so $450 for this one). If it’s a nesting female you get an additional $200 on top of that.

I’d do it too if I lived there for sure.

I chartered a boat a few days while I was there & the captain sent me a pic of his buddy with a 18’ burm he got that was just shy of the Florida record. Thing was huge- $900 assuming it wasn’t nesting.
 
I'm trying to find another spot which is as diverse in food and culture as I am now, also has all four seasons, two hours from just about any scenery or micro climate ( ocean, mountains, desert etc) and a couple major cities when I feel like indulging in city night life and all it's hedonistic practice's

Same for me man. Except I’m voting for my home state WI. Funny I would highlight those same key points you did for my state too, atleast where I’m from. Head south to the city, like that fucking cesspool, Milwaukee and it’s a whole nother story. Gangbangers and junkies on every corner. Up here in the sticks though it’s a northerners dream. Nothing beats the beauty of the kettle moraine forest! Awesome hunting too. Like you we stay the fuck out the city. I love the change in seasons too. Fall is my favorite absolutely beautiful and the air is so crisp. Could live in a hoodie and sweats if it were like that year round…. So many memories up here, I won’t ever leave!

I thought he was using some kind of cryptic dialogue or something when he was talking about killing snakes! Lol why are people paying such big bucks for snakes?

For the record I used to have a 6’ Burmese python as a pet. Would feed it chickens and rabbits! How cool to watch.
 
NH, where it's peaceful and decent people and close to Boston. I moved up here from CT which got too damned expensive.

When I retire I want to move to Nevada or Arizona.

They have ultimately destroyed the natural ecosystem of the Florida Everglades. So Florida state government has put a bounty on them. No cryptic messaging lol.. They say white men can’t jump but they ain’t seen me when unsuspectingly come across a snake in the grass. Bastards!

It’s just something I’d like to do on a vacation or something. Plus earn some extra cash.

Most of these invasive species come not just from ”irresponsible” pet owners. In fact, a large amount if not the majority came from the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. Many collections were thrown to the wind including a significant amount of Elapids. The python thing is big because of the massive clutches each female lays. Same for the Monitors that are proliferating.

Lots of legislation in Florida exists now that didn’t at the time of Hurricane Andrew.
 
If you take away politics I like california the best. If I could just get a several million conservatives to replace the dems it would be perfect. beaches her are great the sierras are beautiful... I got snow boarding surfing mt bike riding good food... but yeah also gun control issues, inflation, rising housing cost, universal health care for non citizens, and out of control homelessness

Funny thing is until 1988 it was conservative in terms of its voting for republicans presidential elections. Then all hell broke loose and it’s become the venerial disease of America.

yeah honestly I dont get it... My kids go to a private school and I have never seen so many people who vote against there own self interest in my life! most of the parents at this school make way to much money and they are almost all liberal... My wife and I dont ever bring up politics at school functions and were basically alone when it came to mask and vaccine mandates for the KIDS! 99 percent of the kids k-8 are vaccinated! One kid had a seizure right after he got the shot! Its absolutely baffling to me. my kids are like the only ones in the school not vaccinated. They had the virus Im not putting that in them.
 
I'm moving to s Carolina next after the kid graduates my taxes in jersyvare killing me plus bunch of libs here..red states are key
 
I’ll also take Wisconsin any day. Northern WI is beautiful spent many weekends at ST Germain fishing, can’t beat the snowmobiling in the winter. Washington state on the coast with the mountains view can’t be beat. It’s the liberals that fuck up this state
