What Cream of Rice Do You Use?

What cream of rice is everyone eating? I've been using Pride Foods since I started eating it. Looking for some other options. Orange box cream of rice has a shit ton of added iron in it which scares me since I eat so much of it.

This is what I was going to do too but didn't think it would come out as a consistent texture. You do this often?

That fortification is exactly what I'm trying to get away from. I'd eat the orange box stuff but they put a ridiculous amount of iron in it. With as much COR as I eat, I'm worried about what all that iron will do to my blood markers.

Hmm.. well, a valid point, Oak. What about checking your iron after a sampling of COW/COR for a few weeks and see what happens? I only eat COW/COR on leg days for breakfast, usually 2 packets.

CoR and Cream of Wheat not even close to interchangable. Wheat ain’t rice.
Retail on CoR is insane. I just saw it for about $5. I buy at the military commissary for just under $4 (397g). That’s still $1/serving. It looks like the other brands listed here are about the same price, mas o menos.

Yah you’re probably right. I just add peanutbutter, blue berries and cinnamon powder to it. Idk what nutrients I’m missing but it works for me lol

I am far from wealthy but I won't eat tilapia so I am suffering the cost of mahi-mahi at the moment.
Do support companies take WIC? Asking for a friend.

Wic covered a few things like milk 20$ worth of fruits & veggies, cream of wheat,cheap pb ,beans etc..but the amount goes down as the kid ages which makes no sense,but 1 extra benefit of not being married..we only received it for few months ...
