what are your favorite non conventional gym equipment

Hmm, non-conventional, I guess it would be Strongman stuff. I have Log Bar, Circus D-Bells, Farmers Walk, Viking Press, etc...
Probably get Yoke soon for conditioning, more fun than conventional cardio...

=)
I used scrap metal from old fencing n black pipe to make a 10 foot staple in the ground. This way I don't have to curl my legs. I can just hang. It's thick so the girth gives me more forearm and grip action. And the width gives me room for any hand position I can think of. Fuggin love pull ups.
Lat pull downs are near impossible at this point for me. So the staple has been an awesome addition

If you already have a smith machine or power rack then I’d get a bow flex. It’s so versatile and you can do a ton of movements on it
For me a smith machine and a bow flex

Do u consider it a legit machine for fitness or close to an as seen on TV that's usable n gets the job done.
Seen them on infomercials my hole life but never heard anyone actually give it credit. I bought a multi gym less than 2 years ago and I'm just to tall for it. It'd be great for a shorter dude. So I'm iffy on machine cause of height and long arms

id say it’ll get the job the done and kinda fill in the holes. Like I’d use it for high rep isolation exercises or preexhausting.

I was looking at farmers carries there are some interesting designs, looks like something I can build. I have a pretty versatile home gym machine that has a smith built in, I'm limited to some basic movements as far as legs go, so I saw this squat belt and was thinking what else is out there that people found to be something the ended up using a lot more than expected

I would say my favorite ones lately have become the elastic bands. There is no single muscle you cannot train with the bands. Also, they come with different resisting forces, allowing you to train with more “weight’. But the technological progress in the fitness world is sometimes taking things to a whole new level. There are training equipment and the best home gyms that will offer you the possibility to challenge your body in so many new ways. And the way they merge several gym types of equipment into one is mind-blowing to me.

Must-have equipment for a home gym includes adjustable dumbbells, a power rack or squat rack, an Olympic barbell and weight plates, a pull-up bar, an adjustable bench, resistance bands, and gym flooring. Choose based on your fitness goals and available space.
