I don't remember when or where and it might be complete bs but I "heard", you know how that goes, that once every 7-8 years we go through an aging phase that really physically changes us to match our age at the time. Seems legit in a way from the way I've seen my appearance change over the years. Like I said though, it could be bs and we just don't notice the gradual changes as much as after several years have gone by.
I don't know the timing but I definitely feel the slowdown. For me it usually happens every 7 - 10 years. i felt one at 55 when my back finally said no more heavy squats or deads. I just felt another at 64 where I need mroe recovery time, maybe more because I sleep like shit now.

I can't say for anyone but Myself..
Since my 30's I've lived tht lifestyle..
Cycles after Cycles. Tweaking the compounds to reach Cycle goals..
In my 40's..setting PR's..feeling like I was 25 again..No physical issues..

Damn..that was 20 yrs ago..
Looked my Best at 58..significant Better than my 40's..
Factory in all of the Extras..
Blood pressure.
All the Meds..everyday.
No Sugar.
More green veggies.
Dr.s appointment.
Food allergies
Bones hurt.
Arthritis
AND
Shit I didn't have to deal with..!!

So..the Gain are hard earned..
This can't be accomplished if can't Manage outside Streesers..
My 50's Demanded more Focus..and Determination ..
Body is changing and I change things as Needed.
Max one body part a month..
Way more volume.
Super,Drop sets..
Mainly, staying Safe..
No PR attempts here. Yes the gains are slower..
Sore all of the Time..
It's hard ass work..

When you've done something you Love for decades..it becomes something I will never walk away from..

Stories will vary..none are wrong..
I did selfishly..I wanted to be Better..
Someone that's happy with the Way I look..

Some days I feel stronger than others,still don't load up for 1/3 rep shit..lol
Older I've become it's more reps,who cares what the weight is..
Also upping cardio..this is a biggie I feel for us older cats!
Bp,glucose,etc all are better with it.
For me anyways.
Drugs,alcohol,smoking packs a day,etc,etc
Just nit giving a fuck!!
Now at 59 I give a fuck!! Lol
Point being my goals have now are longevity,practical strengths,wind,health and happiness.
I incorporate breathing,balance,stretching,Chinese shit..
Not sure waht it's called..lol

And I truly mean it..
Some older guys..don't change!!
Still running harsh compounds..high doses and never Come Off..
Adding..no Cardio.
Still eating like he's 30..
Even after a few ER visits..
Still nothing changes..
Chasing a lost time, for a body, he can never regain..

You don't want to be that Guy...!


I'll run one long cycle a year..
Been trying different things with Trest..
Yes I said Trestolone..
For me 25mg every 3 days..
Absolutely NO sides..
Anyway..
Test/Deca/Dbol..12 weeks
Then short Esters with Trest..
Running Trest no longer than 6 weeks..
Each run of Trest, I discover something else..

Main Focus..
Good Food Intake..Proper Form in the gym..Recovery..

Well I'm 19 weeks post total knee replacement. Ran up 2 flights of stairs twice today. I'm such a bad old man taking anabolics at my age. One more week of this huge cycle 300 test E, 80 EQ, 25 Parabolin a week with 2 iu GH eod. I beat a predator to death 2 weeks ago with a broom that was trying to kill my flock of chickens. That was before the Tren. Scared my wife when I told her to hand me the machete. She ran into the house.

I have been on TRT since 2012 but still went on and off for a long time. I sort of scammed the trt by taking 10 mg of anavar for a week and then dropping it for 4 days before testing. I halved my test level like that. I'm 64 and still do light cycles but for a TRT plus I have used both Primobolan or Masteron at low dose on top of my TRT. I'm talking 1/2 the test dose. Last time I checked blood work was all in range for both. Things change over time though.

Wow, 100mg Anavar seems like a lot. I have done a cycle with test and 25mg anavar, and I am finishing my current cycle at 50 mg anavar. I love Anavar too.

As far as a second compound. I like NPP (first use to see if you like Nandralones, Then run Deca) if you want a to bulk a bit. I have since moved on to "dry" compounds like Primo. My next cycle will be 175mg/week test C, 500mg week Primo and 300mg week Mast E. Nice long etsers, fewer injections. All low sides.

Be careful. If i did that with those dosages I would crash my estrogen from the Primo and block what's left wit the masteron.

My last Test, Primo, Mast cycle I did crash my e2. I have learned to dial up my Test to 175 - 200 to counter that and keep e2 in the 20's to low 30's. I respond well, with 160mg/week Test putting me at 1911 (264.0-916.0) total and 84.08 (5.00-21.00) free T .

1. Can you still handle it?
2. If you can at what dose?
3. What dose per mg testosterone?
4. What are the side effects you see?
5. The the side effects the same or different than before when younger?

When I was in my late 20s i could run it solo with nothing but positive. Not anymore.
 
no can do the EQ...blood turns into syrup. RBC gets alarmingly high. Which sucks...cuz my body loved it. Haven't been able to run it once i got past 50 (really since mid 40's i think).
 
Do any of you guys see that your E2 levels have changed per dose compared to years ago? I seem to make less.
I produce way less e as well at 57. Also, pretty much all dht derivatives (Primo, Mast, DHB) make my joints ache even at low doses. My latest experiment 250 t cyp and 140dhb a week my e was 15 after 8 weeks.

Hi all - First really enjoyed reading thru this thread from the beginning. Being totally new to the site, 66 years old and just started my TRT journey this past October, I found this thread reassuring that there is a community I can come too to learn from and ask advise. My first introduction to TRT after all blood panels where taken was prescribed by my doctor, in the form of transdermal administration. Yes, that crap - gel. Ran that for 60 days, had all new panels taken and the needle barely moved. I pushed for injectable but received the old let's just give it more time, wait and see. So sick of Dr. and I'll avoid my rants on that subject otherwise I'll sound like a ranting and raving idiot. Long Story short I have gone down the rabbit whole of peptides and know Injectable TESTC 250mg and HGH. Starting everything low 125Mg Test and 2IU HGH split 1IU a.m. 1IU p.m. 30 minutes before bed. Doing blood work every 60 days to re-assess. I'm looking for fat loss and body recomp. 6'2" 212lbs. currently about 16.5% Body fat. My goal is to get to 12-13% BF and gain strength. Not interest in size just want to keep what I've got.
 
one week i can pump like hell next week don't even want to get out of bed --every week changes unless i stay at such light weights it does not seem to help me at all

For me..EQ is just too hard on me..
I even bumped it up..still no positive results..
It's one of those compounds I aged out on..

At 42..only ran 300mg/wk

At 52..I bumped it up to 600mg/wk
After 8 weeks, nearly nothing..felt like crap..mood sucked..
Basically, too much oil for the trouble..
Those 10 yrs..body changed..
Sad..I was hoping for some new PR's..

Great thread! 👍 62 here. Started TRT this past summer and it has been life changing. Not my first run though. Had a doctor in my 40s who recommended and prescribed it. Weekly visits were difficult though. Anyway, I've had to dial in a lot of things over the past few years: My diet, mostly carnivore, has been incredible for me, particularly the elimination arthritis that was developing in my hands. My father had it bad, gnarly, knobby fingers. Right now I'm on a low dose of T: recently increased to 100mg pin 3x/week and feel good. Working out has been incredible. Heaps of endorphins. Sleeping like a rock. At this point I want to be strong(er), but not big. More lean and cut in the end. Cheers, everyone. 😃
 
I really never thought I would see this. There are lots and lots of men over 50 and over 60 that still more or less follow the bodybuilding lifestyle. I just turned 64. Age is a real thing. Into my mid 50s I could still train heavy. Then around 55-56 my back hit a level of wear that I had to start changing approach. Things change with age but we have to continue training, holding muscle and staying strong. Every decade the strategy has to change. I think it would be a service to the community and informative for the members to share strategies for nutrition, training, hormones and supplements.

Every decade presents different and additional problems that are far and away different for men in their 40s. The Veterans Over 40 section is far weighted away from men in 50s and 60s and over. I never thought we would see so many men using PEDs in this and higher age brackets but here we are.
