The truth is we need Israel to keep a boot on the neck of the Muslim world. Whether one thinks that’s a good thing or not is another matter.

Both sides try to dress it up as something it’s not: the leftwing thinks it’s Israel manipulating us, I suppose the far right wing thinks that as well. Then the rest of the right says it’s because Israel is such a great ally and has biblical relevance, etc.
In reality, we wouldn’t be investing so much militarily in Israel if our military didn’t think it served a purpose.
