From a ground-fight perspective, in terms of kinetics, overwhelming force, and force multiplication… yes, we’d win. But let’s not pretend this is simple.

Yeah, I remember being glued to the TV—F-111s, A-6s, F-16s, Harriers flying close air support, AC-130 gunships, and OV-10s acting as FAC for the Marines.

Funny how people forget the Corps has some of the best aviators in the world. We had a lot in that fight... and we took some heavy hits too.

I personally think that's the decade we were the most powerful militarily. no other single military possessed the combination of technology, funding, and global reach that the U.S. maintained throughout the 1990s.
 
The most expensive part of a 2 week war is the first 10 years.

It's gotta be 160th SOAR/AFSOC (better yet all the flavors on the SOCOM/JSOC Menu), a MEU infantry battalion (TRAP team), or a combo of both.
