I wanted to share my thoughts on my experiences with both these compounds. I’ve ran them both for various periods at varying doses, and wanted to let everyone know my take so others can make their decision on what would fit their needs.
Tirzepatide - Works wonders for appetite suppression. For me, one weekly dose covered my “food noise” for nearly a week. Towards the end I would notice more food sounded more appealing, but the thought of sweets or high volumes of foods still wasn’t on my mind. Did not have lipids checked while running this, so I can’t attest to it helping anywhere in that dept. I’ve found that dosing this compound at 2.5-5mg a week did everything I was looking for.
Reta - The food noise was quieted during my time on Reta, but not to the level of Tirz. I also found that after several days, my appetite started coming back slowly. I found the best method to combat this for me was splitting my doses into every 3.5 days. I started Reta at 1mg and found the appetite suppression wasn’t where I wanted it to be. I then elected to change it to 2.5mg a week split into 2 doses. This gave me the results I was looking for.
Final Thoughts - if you’re looking for something that hits hard in the appetite suppression category, Tirzepatide is the way to go. I found that eating in a 500 calorie defect was effortless on this compound. While on Reta, I continued the same 500 calorie defect, but it wasn’t quite as easy as the food noise wasn’t nearly as suppressed. I do think Reta provides much better overall results when it comes to general health, but Tirzepatide gave me a better opportunity at fat loss with the appetite suppression. I think when used properly, and used as a tool to help one eat in a caloric defect, these are both great compounds. Sadly, these are abused all too often by folks who just starve themselves into a rapid unhealthy fat loss.
I hope this helps somebody that was looking for a first hand experience with both compounds to make a decision that fits their needs.
