This younger generation amazes me at times

I like that. I'm gonna use it. Youngin's are infecting my gym.
Well and the ones in my gym would actually recommend me stuff to take and one dude told me I’d be so much bigger if I was taking what he was and I ask him what he was taking and he said tren and test that he wanted to “get back “ what he’d lost lmmfao! Me much bigger? Ha ha my dam arms was bigger than his legs and he said I was small lol!! And it’s not just one dude it’s like a pack of 2-4 friends in a group they tickle me to

I remember watching the Vietnam war protests in the 60's as a kid. With the younger generation thinking the old farts didn't understand things. And the old guys thinking the younger generation didn't have a clue as to how things worked. Pretty sure old timers like me have always thought that the younger crowd was ignorant and didn't give me enough respect. Seems to be the nature of society.

I talk to the younger generation often and these kids have no personality. It’s sad. You can’t even have a conversation with them. Not to mention there slang is all new to understand and I’m lost 99% of the time.

The slang in and of itself doesn't really bother me. Every generation has their own slang. The difference is that in the past people grew up and stopped talking that way. How many boomers who grew up in the 50's or 60's continued to use the same slang as adults? Virtually none. How many who grew up in the 1920's continued to use terms like "23 skidoo" as adults. None!

When you are a teenager or in your early twenties you don't realize how stupid your generations slang sounds to everyone else. In the past people grew up, went to work, got married, took on adult responsibilities, etc. and stopped acting and talking like children. Today we have people in their 30's who act like perpetual teenagers. Subsequently since they still act like children they continue to talk like them as well. I don't expect that this is going to get any better with future generations coming up and will very likely get even worse.

Honestly… this thread is kinda hilarious to me. I can’t imagine caring or being this annoyed by kids. Yeah, they’re goofy. We all were young and goofy. They’ll all follow dumb trends, do stuff that’s silly, etc.

I’d try and just laugh it off and not let it bother you assuming they’re not doing anything truly disruptive or disrespectful

There is a point where I agree with you but if you have to work with these kids everyday and try to make them adults it gets annoying, especially when you notice people with potential. After a while you know who does and who doesn’t. These are college level individuals as well. I recall my days back then but it’s so much worse now. College acceptance rates are ridiculously high bc it’s about the money and this generation hasn’t completed an assignment or task without using AI. They have lost critical and creative thinking skills and think that research ability is using google or AI.

As for my kids I laugh it off cuz they aren’t even half as bad as their mother and I were at their age. I just wish I understood what they were saying all the time lol.
