anyone running their Reta? Never used reta and highly considering
Tested it and have some clients using. Legit. But I'm sure others will chime in. Graded out great from Jano as well.
I’m currently at 2 mg per week, and this Marathon batch is potent. Since Reta goes a long way at lower doses, I’ll likely drop back to 1.5 or even 1 mg due to my tendency toward allodynia. Every reta I’ve tried causes this, and neither zinc nor Claritin has helped.

My wife's coach wants her to start 0.5mg/EOD and Marathon has great prices. That Jano report looks promising. Anything you'd recommend looking out for? I've never taken it and not sure what to tell the wife to expect.

Thanks!

At that dose she shouldn't experience much sides if any, but if she does that's why she has a coach. :)

I want to be clear up front that I’m not trying to disparage your wife’s coach in any way; however, I believe this is a poor approach to retatrutide.

For most people, around 2 mg per week seems to be a solid starting point with Reta. I also know quite a few people, including myself who see very good effects even at 1–1.5 mg per week. For many, the more subtle reduction in food noise tends to show up closer to the 2.5–3 mg range initially, though this can vary significantly from person to person.

That variability is important to highlight, because Reta appears to have a very wide range of individual response, especially when it comes to dose-dependent effects like the whole “no longer interested in eating” phenomenon.

That said, I don’t personally agree with running Reta EOD and at the most for me, twice a week injections are just fine (as well as once a week most the time). Based on how these drugs work and what we know about GLP receptor activity, I’m not convinced that microdosing Reta is the best approach. In my opinion, the goal is to reach an effective saturation point that you can tolerate without meaningful side effects

That’s exactly why standardized dosing protocols exist in the first place. And while some might argue that we “microdose” things like TRT, other AAS compounds, or even growth hormone, Reta isn’t really comparable in that sense. Yes, it’s a peptide, but more importantly, it’s an incretin, and the way incretins work is fundamentally different.

With incretins, receptor engagement and reaching an effective threshold matters more than constantly trickling in small amounts. That distinction is often what gets lost when people try to apply hormone or AAS dosing logic to drugs like Reta.

Reta is very potent, and a little goes a long way. Just because someone isn’t experiencing dramatic appetite suppression or complete “food noise shutdown” which Reta has never really done for me (in comparison of let's say Semaglutide or Tirzepatide) or for a lot of people I know, even after titrating up, doesn’t mean it isn’t working. Its benefits don’t always show up as blunt hunger suppression, so using that alone as a measure of effectiveness can be misleading.

Reta is also fundamentally different from SG or TP because of its triple activity at GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptors. That difference matters, not just in how it works, but in how its effects show up over time.

And this idea isn’t fringe or theoretical. Drug companies are already working on long-acting GLP-based treatments, including once-monthly injections for obesity and type 2 diabetes. Recent Phase 2 trials have shown solid weight-loss results even with far less frequent dosing, which supports the idea that sustained receptor engagement can be effective without constant microdosing.

Thank you for the very thoughtful and well written response. It's very much appreciated, I'll make sure my wife reads it.

@Cypher I respectfully disagree :)

You always want to start with the lowest dose to see if you get negative side effects and move up from there. Many people can't handle more the 1-2mg/week, especially ones that are in shape. There is also nothing wrong with microdosing.

IMO she should listen to her coach.

When used correctly, Reta can be incorporated in a way that actually provides substrate rather than just blunt suppression. The glucagon component in particular acts as an enhancer for the other two pathways and can do a surprisingly good job across a wide range of physiological processes.

It’s really about learning how to work with it and use it to your advantage. When approached that way, Reta isn’t just a fat-loss tool, it can be a very effective performance aid as well.

I agree with that starting amount too. My wife researched the hell out of Reta before starting it and it was recommended to start at .5 - 1mg per week.

I can’t run more than 1mg without getting nauseous. My wife ran it at 2mg and had zero sides. She was able to eat her meals normally.

I’m about to start it again at .5mg and see how I do on that for a couple of weeks.

People forget these were made for obese people. It seems the leaner you are, the less you can handle. Very common bodybuilders running 1-2mg tops.

Just remember the better shape you’re in the slower it works. It really made for obese people.
