Hey guys, anyone with IT experience know how to remove this extension?

Seems like its a hack and I can't get it off my computer even with a spy hunter 5.

Any tips or advice please? I can't even use Microsoft Edge. It makes me go only to Chrome and then it says the Adminstrator of my organization has control over it. I can't remove it through Manage my extensions. The REMOVE button shows up but does nothing.

Please advise, ty guys

I know how I’d fix it 🤣

Install Linux.

As a linux user, I about spit my coffee out when I read this first thing this morning. Typical linux user response to these situations.:ROFLMAO:

You'll have to find what it's disguised as for a program and remove it from the programs list. Then you've gotta clear out all the settings in chrome, essentially resetting it to factory and removing all settings like it's the first time it's been installed etc. I highly recommend using uBlock Origin as an extension to help prevent redirects and ads that will install and infect your machine. I primarily use mullvad browser, then firefox, then chrome as a last resort.

Did you try using BC Uninstaller or Malwarebytes to remove it by chance? Spy hunter is hit or miss. Depending on what windows version you're on, how long you've had it hijacked, you could also try doing a System Restore to a backup from a week ago or even further back. Off to work now, but I'll check back in later, hopefully these can help you brother!

Trying malwarebytes now. Ty guys 🙏🏼

What's odd is when I try to delete anything it says something like this device is "managed by your organization".

What the hell does that mean . It's my personal computer.

its how it allows itself to do stuff

malwarebytes should get rid of all of it
It removed the extension. But it still says managed by an organization.

I'm gonna try a system restore. I hate computers. Mostly bc I'm an idiot w any technology.

I bought malware bytes, ran it and it got rid of alot.

Did system restore. Deleted CHROME.

This is what shows now. It shows nebula and it still says "managed by an organization" but the letters are faded out. Does that mean its technically gone?

If I hit remove or anything at all in there, it does nothing at all. The buttons are there but don't work if that makes sense.

it looks quarantined to me.

you can try cccleaner or adwcleaner (from malwarebytes) to reset your chrome features

Malwarebytes should do the job, system restore absolutely will. They always leave little remnants around due to the permissions in which they're installed. Another program you can try if system restore doesn't work is HitmanPro. It is a bit of an intense one though compared to the others listed. I would recommend ADWcleaner before HitmanPro for resetting your chrome profile. This here has screenshots for hitman and adwcleaner. and how to complete the steps! Hopefully you are good to go already though!

You can get the tool here: Chrome Policy Remover - FREE Tool - Mac and Windows

Select the download for Windows. Also on that page is the version for Edge. Grab that one too and run it to be sure Edge is clean as well.. Run the program(s) then reboot and rerun Malwarebytes scan. If it finds and removes the remnants allow it to and then reboot again.

This is one of the trickiest pieces of malware to remove for sure. Had to do this with some laptops (and servers) where I work.

I prefer Linux over Windows but grit my teeth as still sometimes boot Windows just to use a few apps. My personal laptop has Linux that I use for my daily stuff and big desktop has both Linux and Windows 11.
THE only reason I have windows on a machine still, is for photoshop. Besides that, I have zero needs for windows and their bullshit software!
