What's up guys.

Some of you know I had my left shoulder done in 2018, and still have problems with it. Rotator cuff and SLAP repair, still hurts and bugs me non- stop. Today I was lifting and my bad shoulder kept turning purple, almost as if it was bruising??? I have noticed this before, but never got a picture of it till now. What could this be??? It does go away, after a painful set lmfao.

Thanks guys.

Dang, sorry to hear that. I had a slap tear repaired in something like 2000 and it still hurts on occasion.

As for the bruising, I'd agree with Boykin, could be something like a blood flow issue, especially if it goes away quickly

Cialas increases blood flow. That might help. But I would get it looked at. Lack of blood flow can damage a muscle.

No I did for awhile, just ran out though like 2 weeks ago.

I do however take Veiniac by Anabolic Warfare, a pump product.
A lot of preworkout or products designed to give you pump actually restrict blood flow. So maybe ditch that stuff and see if it helps.

Yeah I should have done more research before agreeing to the surgery, however, I was only 18. Put to much trust into doctors, mistake.

Its blood flow, but I don’t think its an issue. If I flex and don’t breathe properly I can make these spots appear. I know its scary that its happening where you had the surgery.

How does your shoulder feel otherwise? Why did you say after a painful set?

Shoulder is terrible honestly. Don't even know how to describe the feel at this point. Was doing cable lateral raises at the absolute lowest weight and that was even aggravating it. Getting hard to work around it.

I had posterior labrum surgery many years back, nothing like rotator but I can understand you pain. Its more like an awkward feeling? Like your shoulder will just fall off?

It sucks but you need to avoid EVERYTHING causing it pain or discomfort. I personally don’t do shoulder press or upright rows. For shoulder press I’ll choose an incline chest machine, put the seat really low so that the handles are high and make that my shoulder press. You need to do what works for you. Greatest thing is you don’t need to do every exercise. For laterals trying using the machine and holding at the top with lighter weight.

It's really hard to explain. It hurts yes, but like it feels weak and not controlled also. Like my right arm doing cable lateral raises, I can control it and have mind great mind to muscle connection, my left I can't, it just feels sloppy and painful.

Not only this, There is noticeable imbalances in my structure. My right shoulder is a lot larger then my bad side, and the muscle above the armpit that connects your pec to your deltoid is much larger on the right then the bad. Icing on the cake, My lat on my right side is larger then my left,

It's a never ending battle, been dealing with this shit since 2018. I hate doctors with a burning fucking passion.

I know you hate doctors but I would get it looked at by a different one. You shouldn’t be feeling pain. Awkwardness but not pain. Especially since its been years since the surgery.

You need to do a lot of band work. They helped bring back my mind muscle connection.

Time for CT scan MRI and get a specialist to have a look. Could be a major problem that can be easily fixed.

Tell you I use little to no weights on shoulders..
I use bands..and Never been happier..
Great results and no popping..
Z...

I do mobility work for around 30 minutes before I even start lifting, bands including.

I just had an MRI done with contrast and the doc said something about anchors failing I believe??? I have to ask again. But he just said more PT which has never worked in the past.

I used to think PT was BS... it's not,it kept Me from a Halo...gave me my life back..

Do you know what was used as an anchor?
This don’t sound good , I read about reattaching muscle and methods used. Using screws as an anchor sometimes instead of sticking.
Guess it all depends on the situation I guess.

Dude I got the same thing on my back, I had no surgery or anything like that but I got them same exact marks on my back , they not bruises they don’t hurt at all but they there I’ll post picture

it is the veins and capillaries that are fragile and break.
like when you take a hit and you get a bruise.
it can happen even with only minimal effort

I agree pt can definitely help, however I have been through it 10 times and have seen no difference, and without insurance I can't keep paying for it.

I had a slap tear in my right shoulder a year ago and it hasn’t been quite rights since. I opted out of surgery and just did 12wks PT. Still jacked after PT.

The only thing that started to give me so relief and ROM was BPC157 from FARMATON. It was awesome and worked like magic. Ensure you are also consuming collagen peptides daily to help. pomegranate also helps improve circulation. Circulation in a huge factor in healing soft tissues. I’d also use some ice to keep any inflammation down which will also contribute to circulation issues and limited ROM.

Good luck!

I have heard great things about BPC157, would like to try it. Hard to decide if I want to do my first test only cycle before or after trying to get it fixed again.

My advice, for something like this you want to see a doctor. Nobody body here can diagnose your issue. It might be an easy fix or something else, but i personally would see a doctor rather than bro science.

Much respect to everyone on the board but we are not doctors.

Yeah, I'd agree with a few others that posted -- what have you got to lose by going and having it checked out by a second doctor? Or even going back to the original AND getting a second opinion. And if you have time (and, likely, cash), maybe a PT could look and give you a third opinion. It's hard to know who to trust, but if you get a few opinions, maybe you'll hear some good ideas that can help.

I agree with @Wiseguy that you should see the dr first. They will not do a healing protocol like BPC but it’s worth them doing a new assessment.

I would try the BPC157 first before you you a cycle.

There are some protocols out there for impressive healings using BPC157 & TB500. Some also may include Low dose GH to also aid healing.

You will feel the limitation while on cycle. You will want to push and mentally you will push and potentially put yourself right back to another tear. It’s really hard to tell yourself no when you are feeling really good and want to go for a new PR or just one more set. Then oops now you f****ed up.

I have a shoulder labral tear as well. My doctor told me it is pretty nasty. Does anyone know of bodybuilders who have had the surgery and were able to lift heavy (like bench press) again? I have been trying to decide whether or not to go for surgery. If I do opt for surgery, I will probably do HGH at 2 ML a day to help with recovery, and probably a small amount of test (when the sling comes off of course),
