I’m making this post as I am curious on who people listen to for bodybuilding and supplement information. Some of the older guys I watched have turned into clout chasers and don’t post good advice anymore.

It can be anyone from any platform (even a podcaster).

I listened to science. I used PubMed and looked up ingredients and used only those that had real studies and efficacy. (When I was in the supplement manufacturing business)

J3University (John Jewett and Luke), Kuba Ceilen, Eric Helms, Layne Norton, Chris Tuttle, Dom Superslice, AJ Sims, Dr Scott Stevenson, Randy Parlow, Dusty Hanshaw, READ studies and I mean the whole studies on training, nutrition and supplements. If you do you will realize 90% of what you hear and people you follow know fuck all. Stay away from guys like Vigorous Steve, Dean St Mart, Dave Polumbo, Dave Crosslin, Big Paul, etc

If you pay attention “big Paul” he basically just regurgitates what he reads . In a lot of stuff

He regurgitates a bunch of shit that he knows absolutely nothing about. You can tell just by his diction, despite how hard he tries to be, the man's not very cerebral.

To address the topic - I listen to content on bodybuilding and fitness going back to the 1960s, all the way through current time. The more data I can collect from various sources and time periods, the more patterns I can recognize between what works and what doesn't, especially when I try it.

To list off some names from the different time periods...

60s - 70s: Arthur Jones, Thomas DeLorme and some of the early Soviet exercise scientists
80s - 90s: Charles Poliquin, William Kramer, Mike Mentzer, Michael Stone, Rich Gaspari, Charles Glass
2000s and on: Christian Thibbaudeau (sp?), Schoenfeld, Mike Israetel, John Jewett, John Meadows

I don't accept or rejecting everything from any one of these individuals. Mike Mentzer for example, was way ahead of his time in certain areas but completely whacked out of his head in other areas. Some people have the tendency to throw out the entire work of an individual just because they are wrong in one area and that's not very productive.

Just out of curiosity, why all the Vigorous Steve hate on here?

I mean who doesn't like a 2+ hour infomercial for all of his vendors to start the weekend...

Don’t get me wrong, I still listen sometimes, but people (me included at one point) hang on every thing he says like he is the end all, be all on anything performance enhancement related.
But the shilling is insane

I forgot Charles Glass in my post. He has more small tweaks & small details than anyone in my opinion 👍

Dylan's "informative" videos with the counterfeit shoe collection behind him.
Omg, right??? Oh please, please let me take advice about a Test/Deca/Primo stack from a 145lbs sneaker dweeb!???? He looks like he’s 13 trying to give me advice!?? The whole time he is rambling on about his extensive knowledge, in his 13 years of life, the only thing I can think of is where the nearest locker is that I can stuff him into. Stay in there, NERD!😂

I just clicked. On a podcast with isrytel , to pass the time while taking a shit . The guy interviewing him is some skinny fag looking dude with slicked back black hair , a painted in beard , and perfect white teeth . Then the guy says his name is Dylan ! 🤣🤣🤣
He has to be one of those guys that post a pic and says I’m %100 natural , this is all from my own hard work !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

They just recycle / regurgitate what is already known and out there for a long time.
Would rather read the logs of folks here and on other forums.

I remember Dylan back in the SARM days as he was probably one of the biggest influencers pushing them. Saying things like LGD, RAD, S4, were better options and just as effective as oral steroids. The guy is a tool and the fact that he has the balls to show his face again after all these years is crazy. He pissed off a lot of people in the past. That being said, the dude has had serious eating disorder issues, which I don’t wish on anybody.

And don’t get me started on vigorous Steve. That guy is a walking N of 1 study. As Dylan pushed the SARM era, Steve is largely responsible for the peptide craze. Him and his cohort Dr. Dean Saint Marti.

Agreed. The more time I spend on here, and speaking to people like @Meetketchup, I realize that its just a big circle jerk online- Vig Steve, Kurt Havens, Dean St Mart...just regurgitating the same bullshit and stroking each other. I wasted so much time "learning" from them, to then find out I dont know JACK SHIT lol.
Better to learn now, then never!

Yeah, their advice and "science" seems to evolve overnight apparently, in tandem with Disguised Alpha's product releases. I've picked up on so many contradictions. When SLU PP 332 came out, if you recall, it was only available in 250mcg/cap doses. All of them were insistent on "you only need 500mcg - 1000mcg per day for it to work and you get all this energy." In fact one of them mentioned "I would never try this at over 1,500mcg per day, it would be too intense." Fast forward less than a year later they're all pitching high dose SLU PP 332 and I mean 50mg - 100mg doses.
