musically I love how technical metal can be, but then they get lazy with the cookie monster vocals, I can only listen to that for a little while

I can understand that.... It's definitely not for everyone... I can listen to most music types and will go through different phases of what I listen to but metal is always my first love, followed by classical which taught everyone how to make music.... I've stated before this is imo the greatest piece of ever written..
