Let's talk about paper skin.

OK, first of all, we know that fat needs to be eliminated.
Water goes up and down and this is not a big deal.

I would like to talk about skin, quality and how to get this blessed "paper skin".

I would like to hear the most experienced guys and I want to ask:
is HGH realy needed or can you get it even without?

Genetics

I can tell you that while it may look good, it has its detractors. A few weeks before shows I would cut or tear my skin simply by bumping into shit, which is easy to do when in diet mode.

Imo, getting this thin skin is like being super lean. It looks great but doesn't feel so good. Your organs really like that layer of fat cushioning. Your skin included.

did i hear paper skin ? this was last year , a couple of weeks before contest ....my skin was so thin that i had to be very careful not to hurt myself :)

precontest diet and gear . GH at 4ius ed , test prop. , tren ace and masteron prop. , winny tabs and proviron . also t3 and arimidex . won't talk about dosing because everybody is different , but can tell you that i stayed quite low dosing wise... training very intense for 30m every fucking day and 30m cardio ed , sticked to my diet all the way through....

age and long periods of dieting thin the skin..
but like said above mine too is so thin I bump or scratch myself and it bleeds

Interesting read. Did not know the skin became so delicate when down to paper thin but I suppose with lack of fat and water it makes sense.

I've been very very lean once and my skin was thick. My thinking is from being over weight for so long in my life it caused it.

I agree with bc123jm

Crazy I am going to have to keep a look out. I didnt know this was a real issue as far as bumps and scrapes with the skin in a low body fat.

Definitely genetic. I have been in shows with guys who up close were obviously very lean with little subcutaneous fat but they just didn't have that extra detail because of thicker skin. I used to attribute it to lactose/dairy but am more convinced some cats just have thicker skin.
But not to worry, that shit will thin up in your 50s.

Joe, do you mind telling us how old you are?
I'm 54 and looking to return and do a show in one year.

Were you able to find a 60+ class at an NPC show? I'm looking at one of the few over 50 shows and and being 55 still feel at a disadvantage compared to someone 50.
Not interested in Legless...er...I mean..."Classic Physique".

Well, good on ya! Certainly walking the walk.
Thanks for your responses.

We have a WABBA guy at my gym. German. Wears t-shirts that say his name plus "Mr. Universe" "Hall of Famer" and some other stuff plus his website.
It's pretty funny.

You have any shirts like that? Lol!

I agree with bc. I am 50 years old, and have stayed relatively lean even in the off season. It seems the older I get, the more vascular I become and the thinner my skin gets.
