Been using test cyp for TRT for a long time. But what are the opinions out there about the SAFEST next step to increase muscle mass gains? Primarily, what is easier on the organs like liver and kidneys. What doesn’t trash cholesterol levels? What keeps you from having e2 issues? I’ve been reading about equipoise. It sounds like this would be a good choice??? Thoughts from the gallery??? What would be better choice as a very safe alternative? Thanks!
 
Masteron would be the first step if wanting to add an addition to trt. Generally very mild, minimal impact on bloodwork. Also has a great cosmetic effect, really makes the veins pop.

EQ is the last thing I’d add to my trt. But foreal, throw in mast at like 200mgs a week and thank me later.

EQ sucks. All steroids elevate RBC but EQ does more so. That’ll increase blood pressure. The blood pressure will destroy your kidneys.

How do you do on testosterone? Good? Add more.

Not good on testosterone? Then add Masteron.

Those would be your “safer” options.

I’ve done very well on Test Cyp. Zero issues. The last time I increased dose my e2 was a little high but not bad. I just offset it with a slightly higher AI dose. But keep in mind that this was at 250mg/week. So for many on here, that’s not a big dose at all. But I’ve wondered how much benefit I would see by upping from 250mg/wk. to say somewhere in the 350-400 range???
 
250 mg of test + eq is not TRT, it’s a small cycle
Yeah, 250 test is not trt at all. That's within beginner cycle ranges. It also depends on how much you weigh, bf%, height, and goal. EQ is by no means a good idea to incorporate if you haven't run anything but test before. If you're planning on doing a cycle even though you already are, up your test. Depending on on how long you've been running 250 I'd probably go down to 175 for some time. Let the body relax a little and start a cycle at 300 test maybe. But no need to incorporate more gear especially if your diet isn't on point.
 
EQ will turn your blood to crude oil...seriously...I used to only run test and eq. Went to donate blood one time and they could barely get it out...scared the shit out of me to the point I never touched again...Like someone else said...masteron is a nice safe addition to trt...I've also experimented w dhb at 300 a week....
 
Gotta throw Primo out there as well. Definitely a lot more expensive than the Mast... but very smooth stuff. Either Mast or Primo will help with the E balance as well same dose with either @200 a week.

So some stats: 54yo, weight is running about 225 on average. 6’3” tall. Last DEXA scan showed 11.4% body fat.

I feel like my diet is pretty on point. I eat about 3100 calories a day. Of that I’m usually eating about 220-275 grams of protein a day, roughly 359 g carbs, and no more than 95 g fat daily. I try to Kel the carbs and fat healthy ones most days.

Until about a month ago I was taking 200mg/wk. test cyp. I upped it to 250 where I currently run now. I’ve not seen a big difference which is why I asked my original question about possibly adding something else. However, I am not at all opposed to upping the test cyp. dose to 300mg/wk and seeing how that works out. The original dose of test given by the doc about 3 years ago was 100mg/wk. that wasn’t cutting it when I started working out. Had to go see an endocrinologist, and they upped me to 160mg/wk. it still wasn’t a great place to be. I found that 200mg was far better and gave me more endurance and results but am wanting to push for just a little more in the way of results without going crazy. At my age, I don’t want to gamble with my health and make huge changes too fast and even then not too sure how much improvement I will see before diminishing returns and I definitely want to prioritize my long term health as well.

I fucking love dhb...lol...I can't run it long enough to get the full benefits tho..I'm under a Dr's care for trt..I have to cut it short at 8 weeks so my bloodwork isn't jacked up...Before I started actual trt I've run it for 12 weeks w nice results... put on nice lean muscle..it doesn't crash estrogen and didn't seem to affect my BP all that much

I understand about the doc thing. I have to adjust my dose to get things within a range the doc likes about every 6 months. It’s a pain.

One reason is if you travel a lot for job or other. Especially if you are out of country. some of my past trips have been for up to 3 months. A script will smooth things out.

Yea that makes sense. I have a couple of old prescribed vials and when I travel I just load them with what I need 😁

You have a valid point. I guess I tend to like the idea of having pharma grade on hand for travel mostly. Other than that, I don’t have a good reason not to if I’m being honest.

I'm in my mid 50s now and don't really blast anymore. I will maybe once a year add something low dose to trt like masteron, var, and have tried dhb...At my age I would prefer to be under a docs care and I guess maybe it helps hold me accountable to not run blasts at me age..lol

I guess the other thing is that it sort of puts a governor on your use. This is probably more important as we age. When I use legit TRT I would do 2 cycles a year and some time completely off and some of the time on my TRT dose. It's a bit of a yo yo. I stayed healthy but I started TRT at 52. It definitely doesn't work if you want to compete and push things. But you can still play in the sandbox so to speak in certain windows.

I try to stay in a slight calorie surplus. I’m trying g to avoid having to do big cutting periods to lose the unwanted fat. I’m still learning a lot about bulking and cutting. So I’m a newbie to these things. Learning as I go and listening a lot to the input I get on here and reading posts in here to see what makes sense and fits my goals.
