Hey all - First post!

50 something here who lifted into the early 2000's. I dabbled with some basic cycles at the time. Then kids came and the gym was put on the back burner. Now they are away in college and it's time for Dad to work on himself again. Been progressing slowly but steadily over the past several months. Just tested low for Testosterone (280) and have some of the typical symptoms so I am thinking of TRT. This brings me to my question;

If I go the UGL route, is filtering a must do or more of a solution to a problem that doesn't exist? Will be using Pharmacom Labs. Was thinking taking the 10ml vial and filtering (0.2um) into 4, 2.5ml vials.

This solves a couple potential problems. 1) removing suspended contaminants/bacteria and 2) reducing the penetrations a 10ml vial would be subjected to. At 300mg/ml and an anticipated weekly dose of 2x90mg - the vial would be subjected to 33 penetrations over 16 weeks. I'm worried about the septum's integrity as the contents draw down. I'm planning on using a 22 gauge to draw. The test is in grapeseed oil.

Any guidance and opinions are appreciated.

Somewhere a nurse is drawing from the same vial for the 20th time without calculating septum penetration counts, and everything is still fine. This is one of those cases where engineering instincts are working overtime on a non-problem.

And yes, a lot of us are aware of pharmacom and the carrier oil they use.

I guess welcome to ASF is in order, since this is your first post. 👋 😑

OP, don’t overthink it and turn a simple process into a science project. This is already a solved, routine thing so enjoy the ride... carry on.

No offense OP. All teasing all in fun. Welcome to ASF. Seriously, youre way over thinking. Get your test and just draw it each time. No need to filter. If you think that you need to filter, your spurce is crap. Get it from somewhere else. If it bothers you, which it appears to, GymNtonic seels multi-use vials adapters. I draw with an 18ga. Just dont store it upside down. Either way, youll be fine.

Message received. Thanks all
Welcome to the forum. Don't let the teasing bother you. Trust me, depending on the day, we are all recipients. It's just one big dysfunctional family here, but it's an awesome forum with great members. Everyone is here to help.

Ha, no thin skin here. It'll take a lot more than the above to make me bust the claws out...

Once I'm on cycle however, all bets are off...;)
