My Newbie log

Nice man. Yah it’s a struggle eating at work. I get my balls busted for eatin as much as I do. My boss always asks me what I’m doing if I’m not eating. I usually respond with shitting or drinking water . Lol thanks for the tips guys

Right.i know it's tough to eat at work sometimes, gotta just get it in.at my job every1 knows I eat every 2 hrs or so 😆
Yes just up carbs and thrown in more food as you can.
Exactly!
I had a job hanging those massive warehouse doors. I had a watch that beeped at meal times. I would have to come down from the cherry picker even sometimes to eat. It was funny because after about a week all the trades guys knew this routine.
My watch would beep and the whole warehouse within earshot would say simultaneously “TIME TO EAT!”

You need to make it clear this is a part of the deal where you work. It has always pissed me off that if you are a smoker, they don’t care if you take a dozen breaks to suck on that paper dick but if you don’t smoke…keep working.

Maybe in a year or so I’ll start laying ground rules for them haha. I know I’m an asset for the company and I know they know it they have told me multiple times . But I just started working there in January so I don’t wanna be too pushy yet. I’ll get there.

The food you are eating is not very quality. If you are going to do steroids and have a goal, your food should be perfect. Actually, it should always be perfect, off or on. A fine, non-dietary purposeful meal here and there is cool, but the majority of food should be as good a possible.

Attach a timeline to your meals and also training and indicate how much time you have to consume the meals.
I will make some suggestions.

I know I sound like a broken record but people need a coach. Your diet looks like most guys who are trying to base a diet on internet sources.

Probably a smart play.

One thing I learned very early once I started to recognize my value to any employer was to have the attitude that they were the most to gain by my working there. I of course backed that up every day with performance.

That door job I had was offered to me unsolicited. The owner of the company needed a guy who could metal fabricate and read blueprints. The apes I worked with couldn’t do this. He hired me at a higher pay rate than anyone working for him and even paid off the union to give me Journeyman status so I could work that job.

I wish people would do this everywhere, not letting the employers feel they are doing YOU the favor by hiring you.

I’d appreciate that. I’ll write it up now and post it in a minute.

I definitely am like that at everything I do or go I don't care if we taking out trash I will out perform you..it's a mindset and way you carry yourself..I definitely ride that line between cocky & confidence but I prove myself/worth everyday

Yah man I love what I do. I work in excavation. I can run equipment . We lay pipe. It’s a fun gig. It pays off in the end when you hustle at work. Aren’t an idiot and work your ass off. Not to impress people. But because u can and are able to outperform most people just because I enjoy it. That’s how I look at it

I would show up to the work truck at 0700, ready to go as I had already done my morning split and ate my meal #1. All the other dudes were moping around, hung over and looking unwashed. Always wanted to stop for coffee and donuts. It was a part of the culture so it was accepted. I despised it.
If we did stop for breakfast (on the company dime) they would eat something like a Grand Slam for $4.99.
Mine would be $12 because of my ordering hardboiled eggs and plain oatmeal a la carte.

Yah man I appreciate all knowledge . I try to learn shit daily. And I know the way I train and eat isn’t the best way to do it lol so I’m trying to learn and fix it up little by little. Do what I can. It’s all a journey 🤘

Its a constant struggle for me. Working at 2 hospitals and them insisting that you only need to eat once in 8 hours or once in 12 hours or twice in 16 hours depending on how long the shift is.

I do too but unfortunately I don't have a choice unless I want a new career which would require selling our home bc nothing in my area comes close to paying what I make. It's not that I make tons of money either. It's that nothing else around here pays close to it. I end up eating a lot of protein bars and shit bc I'd rather get some form of food in than none at all so when I eat my meals I slam 3.5 cups of rice and 12-14oz of chicken 🐔 😅

Yah man sadly money makes the world go round. Kinda need it to live.

I guess I’d start by saying that you aren’t allowing enough time between breakfast and training. I prefer two hours after solid food and one hour after a shake. Since you don’t have the time I would say that you have a significantly caloric shake then wait as long as you can before training. An hour if you can wait. You don’t need two hours in the gym unless that includes your showering and getting ready for work. You can do plenty of damage tonyour muscles in an hour with a focused, simply routine. I haven’t looked at your routine but will. If you are like most people I see in the gym, you are doing too much, too many and not maximizing your time in the gym.

BTW, I like you do an organ support thing first upon waking. I do Ambrosia Nektar, Fiberlyze, PEScience Greens and Superfoods and Kidney Stuff.

Post workout try eating 1 cup of egg whites fried with one whole egg and spinach. Eat 100g of Cream of Rice with it. I add a scoop of isolate to COR for flavor but you don’t need the extra protein. Use the time before work to do this. Consuming these whole foods will be better than the meager shake and then pancakes/bagel. If you can eat the avo toast just before work commences, that’s good.

You need to slip a shake in there if you are going to go until lunch. You can chug a shake PDQ. Either use a whey with Karbolyn (or waxy maize) plus two tablespoons of peanut butter. the peanut butter label should list only peanuts and maybe salt. Nothing else.

Lunch is fine but switch to short or medium grain rice. If you must use long grain then use basmati or jasmine rice. You are looking for high amylopectin rice.

Right before bed eat another cup of egg whites fried with two eggs.

I would start there and see where your weight goes after two weeks not missing ANY meals.

This is where a coach would look at your pics and adjust as you go along.
Slip a shake in there a few hours after lunch, same as before.

Dinner is also fine, just swap out the rice types.

Ok so should I not eat the solid food before the gym and just use a shake then with high calorie?

for my post workout should I get rid of the hard boiled eggs too?

I should get rid of the pancakes and replace with the fried egg white with 1 egg and spinach.
100g of cream of rice with 1 scoop of iso (for taste)

Eating the avo bagel is ok

Eliminate the snacks I’m guessing… like the kind bars I eat and replace with a shake?

Everything else was fine except the rice..

Just repeating this back and making sure I’m understanding it properly because I’m definitely ganna try this out.

I wouldn’t add the isolate to the COR but you can. I would just be a bit concerned it’s maybe too much protein at your weight. That breakfast is essential what I eat every day and I weigh 230 atm.

Those Kind bars taste good but useless except for the nuts, even then I prefer raw.

I looked quickly at your routine. Seems like you could get in and out in 1.5 hours. You have some exercises that aren’t much bang for the buck but follow what Monte said about dropping a set, etc.

Alright cool thanks man! Ganna give it a go next week if I got enough money to order the whey and karbolyn. Moneys tight we’re getting into the slow season but if I got it I’m ganna give it a shot.

Thanks again bro. I really appreciate the help

Great info there

Waxy maize is cheap. Karbolyn is brutal expensive. I only use Karbolyn post workout (1/2 scoop pre). I use waxy maize for between meal shakes. In a perfect world I would use only Karbolyn but I use isolate that is well over $2/serving and I use four per day. Gotta save money somewhere. I spend stupid money on supplements.
