So I have been in this tiny podunk town just shy of a year. I'm a bit tired of it. Everyone knows everyone . No jobs .
I've decided when I get taxes back im going to move to a big town in Texas .
I have a friend who lives there . He rents a 5 bedroom house and is a trucker . He's never home . He said come down and get set up . So one month til I leave !

Texas is a whole other world. It is so vast that there is every type of terrain, and climate variations. They have their own complete species of bugs, and critters. Don't take it wrong if some (native) "Texans" aren't that open with you or stand offish at first. they have to size you up. If they take you in, you're in solid. They are the most proud of their state, that Ive ever been. And don't ever knock or talk down about it. I lived in East Texas about 8 years, and I loved it.

As a Californian this is true... but I get a pass allegedly because my grandfather is buried there and I'm a Veteran.

In Texas, that does count. You are an exception and could become a naturalized Texan!
