Meniscal tear in both knees

SB Labs
Kinda a loaded question. Multiple tears in both and just being totally honest only the patient can answer to get cut or not. I’ve had both surgically repaired and both not the 2nd time each one tore. Difference in my decision had nothing to do with pain but everything to do with recovery time and functionality. First two times were when I was a professional fighter so Surgery with immediate PE by sports minded doctors. The second tears I was retired so I didn’t really give a fuck anymore and just let them heal along with PE.

Gonna just say that IMO for me the non surgical, PE, route is better unless you need that knee at 100% for some kind of sport or job. If you can get by with like 85% then you’re golden. Compression bands also help me a lot. Might be mental but still helps.

I’ll also just say it. Stem Cells in Mexico. Cheap and the absolutely work.

Not all tears are the same. seems if there is a meniscus flap tear then i am guessing surgury may be needed more. If the tissue has folded over i am not seeing healing on it's own going as well.

Sounds like OP is a badass FF. Digging fire lines and knocking down timber. thanks for all you do brother. (y)

But if one is 100% torn, fix it.
Cant get any worse right??

Thank you AR. I definitely gotta keep these knees bolted up as long as I can. Any recommendations on braces. Unfortunately the way the snow packs and weather out here have been wild fire season is going to come early. I hate to see that happen. I love my job and being part of something that helps others the best we can

Thank you brother for the kind words. It’s one hell of a job with an awesome team.
