Kratom scheduled as opioids today 🤡🤡🤡

Regular leaf KRATOM is very difficult to overdose on as the LD50 is higher than Salt.

This other stuff they’ve been selling is HORRIBLE. I’m glad they banned it.

Pretty much all the reports i see linking kratom and dying show other far worse drugs in the system or having some major health issues.
I remember when ephedra was linked to peoples deaths and was on the death certificate as the cause. But when the blood work was looked at there was usually other stimulants in the body. But the coroner would write ephedra as the cause so the family could feel better and not think the guy was a drug addict.

Exactly. It’s always multiple drug toxicity, not taking anything away from those who have lost family - I see a guy in another thread says he lost his 15 year old to Kratom. My heart goes out to him, I’m guessing there was other compounds in play though.

I could share the toxicology reports. No other drugs in his system except trace amounts of his anti depressant

Cause of death was Kratom with no other underlying contributors

I admit that on a high potency extract mixed with kava, used for sleep, i def got addicted and I didn't know until I came off it. Stopping cold turkey and it was hands down the worst withdrawal I have ever had in my life on anything. Scale 1-10. 100. Horrible. I was on pain meds long term from surgeries, no issues. Benzos from anxiety tx. No issues. Kratom blend. Worst ever.

With that said I am all about decriminalizing all drugs. Criminalizing or making something illegal doesn't make it impossible to get, it may make it harder for some people to get, but not others. It drives up the desire and value of a compound. Same time if you have alot of it laying around you might use it. But I am against putting people in Prison for their choice to put something in their body. Jail is for crimes. Not for addiction. Two very different animals. Now am I all about improving mental health and addiction treatment? 10000%. Spend the money on jail which does nothing, no. When I was in jail I saw more drug use then I have ever seen in my life on the streets. Only combined with violence now. I would say if you wanted to "ban" something from being sold but not "Criminalize" it, that might work.

I have a handful of friends that have died from overdose of street drugs. All of which are illegal. Alot of banning mild compounds like basic kratom leaf will push people to use harsher drugs imo. Alot of the synthetic marijuanas they made are 10000x more dangerous and they are "legal". or were at least. Like SPICE. The govt has zero clue what they are doing, so I do not want them telling me what to do.

Johnny so sorry man to hear. That has to be so heartbreaking. I dont even like to think about it.

If you haven’t been paying attention to all of this, the Feds decisions are pretty strange. This whole banning business started from 7-oh which is not synethic like all the fake news puts out, it’s an extract. So today they banned mgm15/16, pseudoindoxyl all comes down to money, the lobbyist going after this are actually payed for by the American Kratom Association because the big hitters like MIT-45 and other brands were losing their asses to 7-oh companies. Yes it sucks to get off of, I know this first hand - but an all out ban is going to cause another opiate epidemic in my opinion.

We should be worried about fentanyl, nitazenes, cyclorhine which are still killing 150+ people a day.
You make a valid point. I honestly expected a major opioid crisis in our area when the
7-oh ban went into effect in July. I thought rehabs and jails would get jammed up real quick with a bunch of really sick people with psychosis. What I didn’t know at the time was that the new stuff (not exactly sure what it is but in short they call it “cat’s claw”) would be just as potent or even more.

So basically everyone around here was fine and didn’t miss a beat maybe more than a day or two from getting their opioid fix with the shit that replaced 7-oh on the shelves. The pills even come in very similar packaging as 7.

Idk what the answer is outside of education. But I had no idea the hell I was in for when I started using 7oh. It was originally sold to me as a potent new preworkout lol. Not even kidding. I think they gave me the first 2 tabs for free. I shoulda known to put them down immediately based on how exceptionally strong and euphoric they felt. But perhaps I didn’t really wanna know how bad the addiction would end up getting. Because they legit feel amazing. The brands I were using were approximately 13-15 times stronger than morphine. And so simple to buy, carry and use all day. But damn do they leave a scar if you stick around too long with them.

Yeah the whole “cats claw” thing is hilarious, that herb has been around forever; and there’s nothing euphoric about it. They are spiking it with mgm-15, or just straight up 7-oh or pseudo, and just slapping a proprietary blend label on it.

Yes. It’s all those you mentioned plus a legit new alkaloid extract that has a chemical name that can starts with a “B”. Like benzylperin or something weird like that. And just calling it cats claw. Crazy, crazy stuff. Avoid at all cost.

Yes, herion use exploded when doctors were forced to cut people off of prescription pain meds.

Thoughts?

It's simple, Big Pharma cannot have a legal dietary supplement that works better than their Rx drugs.

taylor swift suck it GIF

I’m surprised this thread didn’t get more replies. The 7-oh stuff is very popular where I’m from and its replacements are still on shelves as I type this. I am honestly shocked more people didn’t get hooked on that junk more than those that apparently did. I guess folks are smarter these days, idk. But I thought I would see more traction on this thread than I do. Kudos I reckon lol

The idiot in me wants to go buy a couple of these pills at the local gas station just to see what all the hoopla is about.

Then the other part of me that’s only half retarded goes hey dumbfuck you just spent the last 3-4 years putting on a solid 35lbs of quality muscle. Do you really want loose all that and the start sucking dick for your daily protein? Na…I’m good.

The scary part is it’s not even the dick sucking that worries me. It’s loosing the muscle that really scares me. lol 💪🏻

lol man, I never had any psychological problems until I tried quitting megadose kratom. Then after a year of clean but feeling way off 7-oh hit. I was eating those tabs all day like rocket fuel. Years passed. Brain rewired and I have been trying to get back to baseline since. Not been easy at all. Like eating from the tree of life in the bible tempted us by Satan. Hard to unlearn what you already felt. Nasty path I don’t recommend.

Oddly enough. I never delved off into really bad stuff outside of the substance abuse. But it alone took over my life. Been fighting staying clean ever since. The real problem for me came when I realized I couldn’t quit without help. Tried helper meds for withdrawals like benzos, for the anxiety and shit hit fan in mass. Withdrawing from both at the same time actually landed me in rehab. Couldn’t do it alone. That was like 10 months ago. Clean now but still struggling.

Good!
Just another thing that people abuse and get addicted to.I never found anything great about it,I tried it years ago and just didn't think it did anything for me.I was on/addicted to opiates (pain pills) for years, really fucked my life up.Addiction can vary person to person unfortunately it hit me hard.I also have many friends, family, acquaintances, coworkers that have delt with addiction and died.
Drugs & alcohol ruin lives , not just the person but also the lives around them.

Hey Kudos to you guys that are kicking addictions ass. Drugs suck period.

I managed to fuck my life up totally sober. I can’t imagine the damage I would have done if I was on drugs.

I have used kratom on a daily basis often for months at a time. And when i go for weeks not using it i have no issues. My dosage is pretty low compared to some. I also don't drink a case of beer or a fifth of whiskey a day. Getting wasted left my wheel house long ago.

How much did you normally do a day? I would 1g like 2x/day to take edge off especially when in prep for hunger.
