My test level is 740 at this dose with no need for AI, as it drops my estrogen too low. Getting test from Gameday Mens Health, 200mg/ml. I am 46, 338 lbs fat, lost 110 lbs in the last 2 years approx. Will losing another 100 lbs reduce the need for such a high dose? I should add, when I was tested to qualify for trt my level was 75. Just 75. I'm assuming a test blast would be out of the question. Any thoughts from the community?

370mg is certainly beyond standard TRT dosing. Why such a arbitrary number?

From the limited info provided I don't believe there is a need to raise it at all. You on the lower end of "high normal" which is good. How do you feel?

Do you work out consistently?
How is your diet?

I pinned Monday and Thursday, waited 4 days for bloodwork. I lost my job so they never raised it from .85 ML. I felt a LOT better than I do without. Needing to get back on, but wanting to avoid the high costs at trt clinics.

Pin Monday and pull bloods Thursday morning before you pin to get proper levels.

So are you currently not taking test? If so, what did you do for PCT? Three years ago I was using a clinic for TRT, but the prices were too high. Been using sponsors here for the past two years much cheaper.

Blast is out of the question. Keep focusing on losing the weight. Good job making the progress you have so far, keep it up...plenty of time to blast once goals are met. Is your test still from a clinic or are you sourcing it yourself? Gameday Mens Health i assume is clinic? Not all clinics have good pharma test... Theres no way it should be that low of a number at almost 400mg. If its legit that low youre the lowest responder ive heard of. You may try getting a vial from a sponsor here and doing half and half for a few weeks and retest. See if your clinic is on the up and up.

No pct. My normal production is compromised. Without trt my level is 75.

It is a clinic. I am about to order from here and start low, 100 mg, get blood work and see where I'm at.

So quick question cause I am confused. You are running test that is dosed at 200mg/ml and then you said they never raised it from .85 ML. That would only be 170mg a week and not 370mg like you stated in the thread title? If you meant 170 and not 370 your levels would make a lot more sense.

He pins 2 times a week recently switched to 3. Thats what I gathered. I thought the same thing. Math's a little off. .85 2x would be 340mg....

Math is definitely off. But I gotcha, I was thinking he was just splitting the .85 between the two injections.

Yes, for you it is Testosterone Replacement Therapy because it has you in normal range. Yes losing 50 or more pounds will make you more healthy but you may still need a higher dose than most. At this stage you are a fast metabolizer so it takes more for you.

Oh.. if there is a math mistake and it's 170 mg that makes more sense. But regardless, whatever the dose was it has him in normal range which is the goal of TRT.

Factoring in the obesity(no offense to OP) an off peak blood draw, infrequent injections, high shbg, throw it all in...his test is still too low for 370mg..I know you know your stuff, especially TRT, but in my opinion if his math is accurate and thats his actual dose, I think he has underdosed clinic testosterone.

As long as your levels are in range , would not worry too much about the dose it takes to get there

At that weight, however you t would be good to make sure to get a ultra sensitive E2 as it’s easier to aromatize at higher body fat

From a health standpoint also good to check other markers too like kidney and liver health as well as Lipids/Lpa/ApoB and PSA

I would avoid blasting like others have said above and stick to losing fat and building muscle

Might also be good to get checked for sleep apnea at that we’re gut as well

Get some test from a sponsor here you trust (lots of great ones), start a bit lower (in case your test before was underdosed) and then go by blood levels. If (IF!) your test was underdosed before, then you still would need to figure out what true dose gets you into replacement range. If it wasn’t, then you’re a low responder and will need to increase the dose until you’re in range, but I would start maybe around 200 and see (not medical advice but just tryna help)

Then continue losing weight - and great job on losing what you have! And lift regularly. And make sure the diet is clean. Then when you’re at goal weight and the rest is dialed in, and only then, think about a cycle.

Best of luck and great job taking command of your health!

First, congratulations on losing 110 lbs. That's a significant achievement, and losing another 100 lbs could bring additional improvements to your overall metabolic and cardiovascular health.

Regarding your testosterone dose, further weight loss may influence your natural hormone production, but it doesn't automatically mean your TRT requirement will decrease. Since your original testosterone level was 75 and you're now maintaining 740, it's important to have your doctor assess your levels, symptoms, and overall health before making any dosage adjustments.

I'd also be careful about considering a testosterone blast, particularly given your current weight and the importance of monitoring blood pressure, cholesterol, hematocrit, and cardiovascular health. Your current progress is worth protecting.

For additional reading, here's a resource on understanding testosterone therapy and hormone health that discusses the relationship between testosterone, bodybuilding, and overall wellbeing.

Keep prioritizing your health and sustainable weight loss. You've already made impressive progress!

.85 twice a week. Sorry.

All I can tell you is, I’ve never heard of anyone being on more than 150mg per week for TRT.

No offense, but you said you’re 338 pounds.

Are you sure that you’re getting your injections intramuscular? When I pinned 180 mg a week subcutaneous my test levels dropped by a full 50%. I went from just shy of 800 to around 400. Switching back to intramuscular I sit around 800.

Maybe you’re not hitting the muscle tissue and you’re just doing a deep subcutaneous injection?

Do you have any other blood work markers like SHBG? Free testosterone levels?

or maybe his gear is underdosed.

I mean, I figured that’s already been addressed in the thread, and he did mention he was getting it from a clinic and picked it up from the pharmacy or whatever. So I figured I would throw out an alternate cause even though it’s probably a pretty slim chance. Didn’t see adid mention he was getting it from a clinic and picked it up from the pharmacy or whatever. IDK, I did not read the other 25 replies. :p
