Been using injectable l carnitine for years and it doesn’t really come out of my stack. Run it year round.

With that said does it really have a negative on thyroid function? And if so how much and is it something to be concerned about?

Ive ran it for the past year and half nonstop. 1500mg a week...sometimes more. Also run 50-100mcg of t4 depending on gh dose. Bloodwork every 6 -8weeks and thyroid numbers are always golden. Apart from kinda high t3 uptake bit ts always runs a little high for me . Ive seen guys on here say it negatively effects thyroid, but from my research its only when you go above 2.5-3 grams a week and even then its miniscule if your thyroid is relatively healthy. The studies show that it doesn't alter your bodies production of t3 or t4, its only shown in high doses to reduce the entry of the thyroid hormones into the cells. In hyperthyroidism it actually alleviates symptoms. In hypothyroidism it has been shown to blunt thyroid hormone action, but the clinical significance is small. I know some guys i really respect on here say otherwise but not everybody is right all the time and their opinion of certain compounds can influence their view in the research they read. Ill take my results from bloodwork and how i feel over anyone's learned opinion everytime.
I like L carnitine. I do not think its a waste of money and I do not believe that it negatively influences the thyroid in someone that is healthy. I will alter that opinion if I ever see proof otherwise... The only way for anyone to really know is w bloodwork.
