To prevent DDOS attacks and other things, we have a very powerful firewall in place and unfortunately many times it blocks legitimate IP addresses.

If you find yourself getting a blank screen and this board is unreachable, your IP address is probably blocked by the firewall.

Because our dedicated server that this board runs on, along with my other websites, is up 99.9% of the time believe me I make sure of it.

One solution is to use a VPN, which will change your IP address every time you connect. Otherwise if you contact me via email, I can I remove you (IP address) from the block list, and I can put you on a safe list so it never happens again if you don’t use a VPN.

I was having problems all day until i decided to let my phone do the update ive been putting off. Works fine now though

If any of you don’t use a VPN just send me a DM with your IP address, that never changes. It’s set by your Internet provider e.g. Cox or whoever it is. I will add it to the safe list on my service, firewalland you’ll never get blocked again.

On your home Internet connection, unless you use a VPN, your IP address is set at your modem/router and it never changes. You would have to call your Internet provider and only they can change it. I can add your IP address to a safe list on our firewall (server level ) and you’ll never get blocked again.

Rebooting your computer or even your modem/router that does not change your IP address. It’s set by your Internet provider.

If you wanna go the VPN route, they’re dirt cheap these days. I’ve used Express VPN, Ghost, there are many, but they will slow down your connection.

We are on a dedicated server at Rack Nation in Costa Rica and we have 99.9% up time. I have all of my sites running on the same dedicated server and it’s never down, or at least very rarely.

If I told you how much my dedicated server along with my IT support cost me per month you would shit your pants. 😝 💩 probably more than your home mortgage if you have one.

Guys if you do DM Arnold your IP address, be sure you don't do what I did and give him your IP address while ur connected to the VPN 🤣🙃

Ok. I'm not a spring chicken so I'm working on figuring this out. I'm blocked. I sent you an email. I didn't send you my IP address ... I still need to learn what that is. I think I'll get a VPN. I don't know how to use one or even what it is but I'll educate myself on the you tube. I'm on my cell phone right now. Not to be whiny but typing on a cell phone pisses me off. At least I'm back on.

Simple..

Your IP address is blocked

Send Arnold an email. He unblocks it.

Guys I spoke to @Arnold, the problem is many of you reporting IPs, reported an address while using a VPN. He can't unblock a vpn to access the board.

The trick is guys, try a VPN in the United States first and foremost. It may take a few times. I have to do this myself some days and my permanent IP is unblocked, but for some odd reason, I lose access every few weeks for a week or so. Odd we know, and have been trying to fix this for awhile

The issue being this site is so under attack from bots and other entities at time that the highest security settings were placed on the site which then blocked out many normal AAS users access, including mine and several mods too.

So try the VPN in the USA a few times and if that doesn't work, try a few different VPNS out of the country if that doesn't work. I can always get it to work here tbh, but sometimes I have to try 2-3 diff VPN addresses just to get it to work. You def may need to spend a few mins getting in, but def worth it.

Ty everyone.
