When i was heavier about 1.5 gallons. Looking back i was probably flushing out more minerals then i needed to. These days about a gallon. I rehydrate in the morning, Maintenance drink in afternoon and early evening then taper down so i can get an uninterested night of sleep without getting up. For maximum recovery. Been doing that for decades with consistently good blood work.

Probably 3 ish liters- I need to up my intake to ATLEAST a gallon. Also, how big are you mfers crushing 1.5+ gallons? Size is pretty relevant to water consumption? Or am I making this up

Edit: follow up question- is adding an electrolyte pack to your intake as effective of consuming twice of what you normally consume?

Curious as to how much water you all drink on a daily basis

I recently started to keep track over the last week, it’s not something I ever thought about before

But it seems like I’m anywhere between 5-6 liters a day, every now and then I’ll hit 7 liters
Same 👆

Thanks- I’ll be sticking to tried and trued H2O. Bought a big ol yeti to keep me on track
That’s not me saying NOT to utilize electrolytes if needed, just that they have a role and it’s much more nuanced than just “doubling” the value of a cup of water.

probably 100 oz, I try to hit the gal.. but I’m a weak willed man who loves Vitamin Water 🙂

I drink 1-2 liters a day and maybe a diet coke. I sit at a desk all day so it's hard to remember to take a drink. It's something I need to get better at and when I do consume more I can feel a difference.

I legit think you’d be dead if this was true, or perhaps in kidney failure lol 😆

2-4L but hardly any plain water. I dose it with Mio energy, electrolytes, or dump a bunch of dextrose and sodium in.

I filter it through coffee beans a lot too.

I get it. I coach college athletes, and I tell you even they have a difficulty drinking water. They cramp up and get injured frequently. I see guys that carry a gallon with them to the gym, but I notice it's the same bottle with little less water from day before lol. People don't realize how hard it is to drink a gallon of water. Now summertime is much easier but during winter forget about it.
Exactly right now i am lucky to get a half gallon of water / day when it hasn't been above 20* in 3 weeks.

Never enough !!’ I set down after walking up the steps , attempting move both quads start spasming and cramping . Attempt to lift my arm , shoulder and tris spasm !! It’s tough to get enough in !

Gallon of water alone.

About 1.5 gallons of all liquids. Protein shake, electrolyte drink, magnesium blend I take pre bed.

I found that lowering my daily sugar intake (same amount of carbohydrates just less sugar) has changed how much water I need daily. I used to drink a minimum of 1.5 gallons a day because I was constantly thirsty and constantly pissing. Blood sugar was fine I just was always thirsty. According to MFP I regularly had like 70+ g a day in sugar.

Now I get anywhere from 6-15 a day and my thirst has decreased dramatically.
