I am trying to get 1 gram protein / 1 lb bodyweight everyday while cutting body fat. I've been staying around 2000 calories per day and I have been having 2-4 scoops of whey powder and one protein bar that has whey every day. So some days I'm getting 100 grams of my protein from whey. For meals I'm mostly eating chicken breast with some eggs and ground beef a couple of meals per week. I find it hard to get enough protein from meals so I end up using a lot of whey because I can get a lot of protein without a lot of calories. Is there any problem with ingesting that much whey every day?

No. It's the highest bioavailable protein source along with eggs.

exactly. if it produces good results then you're doing great.
as long as you eat protein from foods too (because you also need other microelements from the high-protein foods), you're fine. good luck with it brother!

1gm/lb is a very general guideline and tbh it is intended for growth. You will find that you may or may not need that much protein. Your body type also plays a role in the equation. Are you endo/meso/ectomorph?

Whey digest in about 1.5hours. I don’t believe it’s reliable enough to make sure you have all amino acids in your system all time. Out of that 100grams only very little is being utilized. Possible around 1-3 grams is being used repair muscle.. better off with food that digest slower through the day.

You can combine whey with carbs/fats depending if you want to slow the digestion down.

I like isolate for quicker digestion post work out or when I wake up and if I’m wanting slower absorption like during the night I’ll opt for casein. The powder is ok but I’d rather eat some cottage cheese with a small tomato chopped up into it.

Thanks, I'm going to do that. I was eating two bars a day a few years ago and eventually ran into some really bad constipation issues. I'm eating ones with much lower fiber content now but I am going to cut them out once I'm done with my current supply and stick with powder that doesn't have all the extra ingredients

Almost all my protein comes from isolate. Its easiest to absorb especially taking insulin with all meal and it allows me to eat more carbs since I dont have to digest meat

Do you get alm your protein from powders?

Not powders. I do rtd premier and pure protein shakes and the fairlife 42 shakes that’s not whey but filtered milk

According to Rich Piana 5 scoops is the max dose per shake

I’m doing the same calories with same goals as OP. Actually I had to go down to 1800cal with 157p. Cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, a good meal of chicken, and some Tuna, I get away with one scoop a day. Can’t wait till this phase is over. Never had to reduce calories on purpose before. Not a fan. Lol

When I was my biggest I had 50 grams of whey protein 8 times a day. I’d chug a whey /oat shake in water every 2 hours. I only had one food meal per day. 1/2Lb 99/1 extra lean ground turkey breast and 3 cups of steamed minute rice.
You can pack on a lot of lean muscle this way and stay shredded. My diet was very much lacking in nutrition so it’s not very smart but it got the job done. 😀

do you use fast acting insulin after each meal? Or before?
I usually take it right before my meal if its a meal that I frequently eat. Now if its a meal that Isnt usually something I have with a different amount of carbs Ill take it after Just be I dont want to overshoot and then have to pound more carbs.

Is there any whey protein that actually taste good..... thus far Ive only been able to eat real food I think they are absolutely disgusting.

mutant iso surge
The mint chip has little chocolate chips in it. If you ever want a milk protein isolate and whey protein isolate combo try Syntha 6 isolate in the strawberry milkshake. Best protein of all time

Sweet jesus what did I watch....that vegan shake everyday has me blinded with all that muscle he has. Thought it was Rich Piana for a second
You may have missed it, but he added protein. Soon to be jacked AF lol
