HGH negatively impacting sleep

I may be in the overwhelming minority here, but HGH 2IU before bed has been negatively impacting my sleep. Usually I fall asleep very easily, but with HGH (and this happened when I was using tesamorelin before bed too), I get this kind of mild discomfort. I’m not stimulated, my heart isn’t racing, but like I can’t fall asleep as easily.

Once I do fall asleep I am good, I’ll sleep through the night other than waking up sometimes to pee no more than once, but it’s the falling asleep part that has gotten harder and taken at least a full hour.

Anyone have any explanations? Is it simply my body not being used to the exogenous GH input that is throwing off my circadian rhythm/natural sleep mechanisms?

Thanks

few options

let it run awhile and see if that side effect subsides.
try pinning earlier.
just pin the morning.

i had to switch my test shots from pm to am due to something similar. Id get a little boost of energy for whatever reason.

It wrecked my sleep on only 2 iu. It also wrecked my blood sugar and increased my resting heart rate from 48 to the mid 60’s. I tried pinning all times of day to no avail. Same results. It sucks because I’m older and need it, but can’t run it. This was running pharma sourced Omnitrope too.

Thanks will give that a shot, any issue with minimizing fat loss effects because I’ll eventually eat a couple hours following administration? Most of what I read implies that you need to be fasted while the medicine does its trick, but I haven’t seen any true data to support the claims.

Dang sorry to hear that! So far no RHR impact, but I’ll keep an eye on it. Reta 1mg per week wrecked my RHR and that sucked so much so I know how you feel

Just curious of why you were pinning test in the evening.

Good GH I sleep like a rock, Ive come off GH for a little break and can definitely tell you my sleep has been shitty.
Now pin the other hand... I tried some cheap ass 5 Chinese peptide places
HGH and that shit made me wired and a rapid heartbeat.
Trying to fall asleep was impossible!!!!!!!!
Gave me nasty welts at the Inj site also. Never again will I go the cheapest
route for GH.

Great point, yes this is generic resold GH so likely not the best quality. I am going to dabble in cinnatropin after my next two vials run out, seems to be the most readily available pharma option.

Sorry to hear that brother have you tried or considered Sermorelin? Of all the different GHS, GHRH, and GHRPs i found sermorelin the most beneficial. For sleep, visceral fat reduction, and a tiny bit of lean mass even. I ran it for a year straight(longer than recommended)and had zero side effects or negative experiences. So if GH isnt a good fit maybe a boost to your natural gh spike wouldnt be as bad...its the "weaker"of the choices but in my personal experience its a great compound.

Had the same problem for awhile with getting restless with pm injects.... pushed through and now I sleep like a baby. Everyone's different see what works for you.

Thanks, I switched to 2 hours post breakfast 2 hours pre lunch which has been working well so far, just a little nervous about it being close to lunch with respect to glucose/insulin impacts. I’ll see how my bloods look next month and adjust if it looks out of whack!

Initially slept great with PM injections but sleep quality became terrible.

Switched to AM and it’s been much better. Energy is better and sleep great. Glucose can run higher but I use berberine and high doses r-ala and it’s better.

Why not all it right when you get up? Thats what I do and then wait 1-2 hours to eat. I keep carbs lower during the AM regardless of HGH.

Have you tried adding berberine 2x a day? That works for me.

I have. It helps, but I can’t get past the going from an hour of deep sleep to around an average of 14 minutes. And the RHR in the mid to upper 60’s is just unsettling. It’s the one thing I wish I could run because as an older guy, it would make the most difference, probably more than test.

I also went to every other day and that helped. My igf-1 level still went from 100 ng/mL to 200s ng/mL. The goal at our age is to get to the top of the normal range for our age. I average 1 iu/d to get that jump. GH has some side effects though. Not everyone can dial it in.

It doesn’t happen to me at 2iu but switching to 3iu I notice I’m going to sleep later than usual but atleast I am sleeping more overall compared to not being on gh. I also notice that it’s harder to fall asleep if I ate diner earlier . For me doing the gh at 8 or 9pm is the sweet spot and I’ll be sleeping within 2 hours of injecting most the time. Keep in mind that I was only sleeping four hours a night waking up every hour or two before using gh , now I get 5.5-7 hours of sleep waking up once to piss
