Hoping someone can help me make sense of this. I started generic HGH about 5 weeks ago. Before starting, my IGF-1 level was 274 ng/ml. I ran 2 IU for the first 3 weeks and 3 IU for the last 2 weeks.

Earlier this week I repeated labs, doing an 8 IU IM injection 3 hours before the draw. The results came back with my IGF-1 lower at 274 ng/ml (just above reference range), and my HGH serum number was only 18.1.

Based on this, my only guess is that the HGH is underdosed, possibly real, but not dosed accurately, which could explain why my IGF-1 didn’t rise after 5 weeks and why the serum HGH value was only 18.1.

Does that interpretation seem correct?

Igf levels take about 6 weeks to adjust to a new dosage I believe. Next time do 10iu IM before blood draw for your gh serum level. Everyone responds different, can always send your gh out to be tested also

Do not read into the IGF-1 readings, if you are strictly trying to see if your GH is good or dosed well, do the regular 10iu shot 3hrs before and do serum testing.

There are just tooo many factors that influence IGF — carb intake, estrogen and aromatization, liver health, body fat levels, type of anabolics you're running. Its veryyy difficult to get an accurate reading.
