Heads up: Don't Inject Steroids Right Before You Train

If you’re thinking about injecting steroids into a muscle and hitting the gym right after, think again.
Here’s why:

Steroids can mess with your muscles if you work out too soon after injecting. When you inject, that oil gets trapped in your muscle fascia, and if you start lifting weights right after, you risk causing inflammation (fasciitis) and serious pain. It can totally mess with your training and recovery.

On top of that, your body hasn’t had time to process or spread the steroids around properly. You’re basically rushing the whole process, and that can lead to more problems than benefits.

So, bottom line? Don’t inject right before hitting the gym. Give it some time, let your body do its thing, and avoid that nasty fascia inflammation. Timing is key when you’re using steroids – don’t rush it!

Stay smart, stay safe.

Thanks for sharing, brother.

Do you mind citing the source?

I usually inject my Test before workouts without any issues, so I’d like to read more on this.

Thanks in advance! Appreciate it!

So, no TNE PWO?
The point is: don’t pin the muscle you're about to train.
You can hit glutes and train arms, no problem — just don’t jab your delts and then go smash shoulder day.
That oil needs time to settle, or you’re asking for inflammation, pain, and maybe even fasciitis.

Sounds like common sense to me. Never really thought to deep into it however. Good idea to post this info though.

Part of me says this is just common sense and part of me is scratching my head.
I’ll speak to both lol.

Aside from PWO I’d never even think this is an issue. But things in the AAS world sure have gotten dumb recently. I guess this is maybe a “thing” now like pinning long esters EOD. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this as even a concern because people don’t do it. I guess we have YouTube to thank.

The head scratching part for me is actually a conflict. You’re supposed to inject slowly to distribute the oil across the muscle fibers in your target area. I’d think movement would facilitate a more rapid dispersion. How much movement is too much is the real question I have. If I pin my quad and then walk around the mall with the wife is that too much?

I’ve pinned PWO in my delta and smashed a shoulder work out without anything noticeable. I’d almost think a concentration of oil (we’re talking a ml or two) sitting in a muscle, is enough to trigger an inflammatory response to begin with.

It’s an interesting theory.

I was of the same mindset as you. Pin in the muscle you are planning to work out; it will become activated and move more freely than when it is not. I've never had an issue; actually, I have less pain than the latter.

I've definitely pinned chest before a push day.
My logic has been that working the muscle you pinned will increase blood flow to the region and help distribute the oil. Same reason you'd use a warm compress after an injection.
And PIP Soreness for me is always worst the day or two after, immidiately after I'm fine

Not sure how you could get fascia irritation either, if you did a proper deep IM injection, the injection depot should simply be deep within a muscle, away from any fascia...

I don't have any science behind it but I've heard this before. Injections cause inflammation and so does working out so you want to avoid injecting a muscle you plan on working out within the next 48 hours. I like to inject after working the muscle group. I've found that the pip blends in with the normal soreness from DOMS.

I personally like pinning the muscle I am training or have trained that day.

Anything other than the day before training it. A glute or VG shot can sometimes tighten my hips and in turn back up the following day or 2 after a shot.

My opinion and preference for me.

This is old school, but anabolics are for recovery and muscle building. Your heart is a muscle. You’re working your heart hard when you’re moving heavyweight so why would you inject pre-workout? If you’re working out your working your heart also so why use AAS before not after ? I heard that a long time ago but if you think about it depending on the half lives anabolics are in your blood all hours of the day and night no matter when you train right? I’m just repeating what I heard a long time ago.

Yes it seems to actually move the muscle to help the oil breakdown. Tge exception would be quads on squat day lol

Wait so what are we doing, pinning or not pinning the muscle we're hitting

I pin Bis and Tris on Arm day......Great pump.
Ive done alot of site injects in my day..... I fire YK-11 into my pecs before training.
