I assume you are being sarcastic. Worst conclusion ever. Yeah, let's replace fish oil with 100,000 other supplements and get the same result because there is zero control of what other millions of things people consume over that time period. My God what a joke.

Eskimo/Inuit have some of the lowest occurrences of heart disease on earth despite the fact they eat very little fruits and vegetables and consume a diet high in fat. Salmon and other fish is a large part of their food source.

Is this for real? They're all soooo fat.

That's funny, right there: "Regular use of fish oil supplements might be a risk factor for atrial fibrillation and stroke among the general population but could be beneficial for progression of cardiovascular disease from atrial fibrillation to major adverse cardiovascular events, and from atrial fibrillation to death"

In other words, if you regularly take fish oil supplements (no mention on how much, could not find that minor detail), if you have no atrial fib, you MIGHT have a SLIGHT increase in the possibility of developing atrial fib. AT THE SAME TIME, if you have atrial fib or a more serious heart condition, regularly taking fish oil supplements MAY REDUCE the possibility of your condition getting worse.

Have fun with that.

Having fun while trying to find the original research data for this one.

I found this title: "Evening alcohol suppresses salivary melatonin in young adults." Who the heck is getting kids drunk to check this out?

Also found this one: "FO supplements and regular exercise both reduce body fat and improve cardiovascular and metabolic health. Increasing intake of n-3 FAs could be a useful adjunct to exercise programs aimed at improving body composition and decreasing cardiovascular disease risk."

Maybe long ago but much of what i have seen points in other directions. Plus their life expectancy seems to be much lower so that can also have an impact on what is leading to their deaths.
"
"In 2018, American Indians/Alaska Natives were 50 percent more likely to be diagnosed with coronary heart disease than their white counterparts."

They must have opened a bunch of McDonalds in Alaska lol.

Yeah, what I read is traditional Inuits had less coronary issues. Modern life has a far reach anymore.
I’m still taking fish oil 😉

*dirty fish oil may do that, and 99% of it is DIRTY.
I found 1, 3rd party tested version, been taking for years, not daily but 5-6x per month.
