Not sure if the OP missed my post or just would prefer not to answer (which is fine) but how much prison time are you facing?
Earning money is obviously a necessity but may soon be a moot point unless you have some super lawyer…

Do a trade with a small time plumber, electrician, sewer guy looking for work. We’re all trouble makers especially plumber and sewer guys lol. I’m not gonna from though aside from the steroids I’m a goody two shoes. But most plumbers are nuts. Go for it. But you might catch another felony by beating your bosses ass because they are assholes to you in the start.
 
I can tell you from personal experience it's extremely difficult once your a felon. I worked construction and restaurants mostly until my felony quit showing up on background checks. I think its 7 yrs unless they run a NCIC background check( the one law enforcement uses). I actually paid an attorney for expungement and he told me i had to wait until probably was over, which was true, but he retired before I got off probation. I know its a risk but I would lie and say I didn't. Most companies pick and choose who they want to run background checks on. I would definitely look into expungement though. You can as lso go for non adjudication in court. That will keep it off your record as well. Good luck to you in court too. Best way to lighten it all is to really change your ways before court. Or at least fake it. Go get a job doing whatever you can, stay out of trouble until court, and when you go to court look as clean cut as you can

Some felonies are not expungeable, though it probably depends on the state

Yeah I'm also a "goodie two shoes" besides the AAS and some nicotine, I don't drink or cause problems. Unfortunately it was a case from years ago reopened.

If it’s a really old case, non violent and not a persons crime such as a burglary of a residence then you have a good chance of the charges being reduced to misdemeanors. It would also depend on your current convictions.

I gotta admit, I’m intrigued now. Not to be nosy, but what kind of case is it that they reopened years later? Did you know they were looking into it? Now I am paranoid about stupid shit I did getting re-opened, though I suppose the statute of limitations must have run on stuff like that…

Felonies have a lengthy statue of limitations, it's a long story. The police are not my biggest fan.
