Ding DingOne important thing that I picked up on that may have something to do with why all of a sudden this is being discussed in the manner that it is. One of the panelists very briefly mentioned that doctors are reluctant to prescribe T because it’s a scheduled substance. In that same breath, the panelist states that as a result of doctors general reluctance to prescribing T, TRT clinics have popped up all over the place. Reading between the lines here, and perhaps I’m way off, but it would seem that the clinics are raking in tons of dollars that would otherwise go to the medical community. And maybe, just maybe, that has a little to do with the sudden change of heart on this subject.
The folks at Pfizer, Merck…etc got off the golf course, made a couple of phone calls to their stooges in government and ordered them to do something about it. LOL.Ding Ding
Always follow the money.
I doubt it. There will likely continue to be a stigma around testosterone, regardless of how accessible it becomes. Outdated or poorly informed PCPs, endocrinologists, urologists, and other gatekeepers involved in the process won’t make access easy, in my opinion... Bastards. Will this affect UGL’s any? And if so, to what extent?
I agree with you for sure.A long time coming.
Too long
Purely political. And to think me and others served prison time for testosterone possession.
The fake war on drugs needs to end.
I'm all for decriminalizing all drug possession ..this isn't to say legalize it.. but personal.possession should never equal jail. Any drug addict needs help, not prison imo.
We have the highest incarceration rates in the world and at one point it was 75% of the jail population were drug related crimes.
Absolute rubbish imo.
If you want to get a real response, call them nonstop and demand they respond until you get them on the phone. almost every time I've done this, I have spoken with them at some point, and this is in NY. The letters usually don't even get past their staff.I have written my congressmen many times over the years about the biased classification of test. The AMA told the senate panel in the 90's that test did not fit the category the they wanted to reclassify it to. But the politicians didn't care.
Getting them to say they were wrong on something is difficult at best.
I will continue to write my congressmen but won't hold my breath on it.
If people don't pressure the government they wont change out of the goodness of their hearts.
Only if they think they may lose power(votes).
That is a great way to go. I have actually had my congressmen state and federal, personally call me up to talk more then once and not one of his subordinates. But i also write them routinely about topics over the decades. I have paper letters(massed produced i am assuming) from George Bush and from Dick Cheney replying to me about why they are not doing what i wanted. Obama sent me a poignant email his last week in office thanking me for all the correspondences over the years! Which i would have kept it!If you want to get a real response, call them nonstop and demand they respond until you get them on the phone. almost every time I've done this, I have spoken with them at some point, and this is in NY. The letters usually don't even get past their staff.
