I personally think there are benefits to both approaches. If your goal is to preserve as much muscle as possible and you're willing to adjust your macros and nutrition accordingly, then a slower cut is probably the better option. On the other hand, depending on someone's starting weight or personal goals, a faster cut may make more sense. Some people simply want to lose weight quickly, and in certain situations they may be willing to accept some muscle loss as a trade-off.
What are your thoughts? Personally, I feel that a slower approach may help reduce the risk of loose skin and stretch marks, while also being less of a shock to the body overall.
