This took me a while to digest, but then he said he’s going to make factories that build robots and then the robots are going to build more factories that build more robots. And the robots are also going to mine all their own ingredients to make themselves and the factories. With how rapid AI and robotic technology is moving, is this really gonna happen in our generation or will it happen at all? Or will it happen and then the robots enslave the humans and make them do the work?

I 100% believe its possible in our lifetime, I would even push the time line up to the next 10 years.
Every major AI company is working on humanoid robots as "assistants" free walking independent robots just like the movie iRobot.
Once intelligence is self improving which is pretty much all ready happening, the sky is the limit with how far it can go.
