Great session DC. I love how you're feeling every rep and getting better mind muscle connection as we progress. Pounding those lats will transform your physique...going to take some time but we'll get there.

ive told a few people that I hired a coach to help me with bulking/lifting/macros etc.
they all ask me you dont get a cheat meal? bitch im bulking why would I need a cheat meal for?

"oh i could never do that, i like to just eat what I want on the weekend."

also bulking is harder then cutting. 100%

they dont realize how many years it took them to get fat lol. Now actively TRY to gain weight during a certain time period while trying to stay lean as possible.

lmao clowns.

at least with cutting you just dont eat, and if youre having a hard time they sell shots for that lol.

I cant believe im 187 with all the shit im eating, and I know if I stopped the weight (fat) would literally melt off.

its not like Im sad Im not eating cheeseburgers and fried chicken and shit.

it doesnt feel good eating that at all, id rather eat my food. I feel full for longer and dont feel all crashed and horrible and bloated.

If I feel bloated its because I ate 300grams of apples. lol.

the only thing I ever get cravings for is chips. probably my only true weakness.

need to learn how to make my own, lord knows I have the potatoes for it lmao.

People that "eat what they want on the weekends" are the people that don't make gains and that's for fat loss/lean bulking. Consistency is and always will be king.

I get this ALL the time and have for years. Whenever I get a prospective client and one of the first things they ask is, "when do I get cheat meals?" I tell them to find another coach. If you are at a special/occasion event, out celebrating a nice dinner with wife or family in the off-season when calories are high and especially on gear. There is nothing wrong with having something you've been craving. You plan for it by adjusting macros earlier/later in the day. It's a once in a while thing. You can also order great tasting things with a little effort in cutting the calories just by asking...Going to a steakhouse and order a lean piece of meat with a baked potato and steamed vegetables or sushi with the majority being sashimi or non-loaded rolls. So many options.

Instead of people thinking they need to eat only plain chicken and broccoli all week is the perfect recipe for making them crave high calories foods on the weekend. They need to put a meal plan together during the week of things they love to eat with variety, so they don't have the temptation to binge or go for cheat meals.

Yep I'm particularly strict because of all the traveling coming my way. So I make the absolute best effort when I can and am able. Is it hard? Yea but not impossible. There's always ways options.

It's just planning.

Went to in and out had my hotel bagel and chicken and was happy I was on my plan.

I went to a Chinese buffet a few weeks ago and I had white rice, sushi rolls and some chicken skewers. Popped out the cream cheese. Weighed it all out and was good.

150 carbs, 35 fat, 75 protein.

Egg whites rest of the day lol

although if my son wins state i might cheat that day a little! all planned tho! and thats not until februrary.
my daughter is completely useless, if she even gets a medal anywhere anyplace i might have a slice of crust from her leftover pizza. aint getting ahead of myself with that one lmao

HAM day, and the Return to BJJ

triple 187.5 waking up.

freaking killed it, didnt sleep well but mostly was nervous going back to bjj so tossed and turned alot.
Had alot of things going through my head, ham day has become DIFFICULT, so was wondering how the hell was I gonna do bjj after, and then how well would my shoulder hold up.
i was totally worried about nothing. all things fired and greased.
i couldnt do some posting and certain things felt a teeny bit uncomfortable but I could mostly spar normally and cruuuuushed everyone. although theyve been training and ive been healing for the past 3/4 weeks so Im in better condition while thier bodies are all badly beaten lmao. all good tho.

sldls murdered my back, have so much pressure down there but its fine. idk if sldl with dumbells with 65s is good or bad in comparison, not that it matters, but my back gets tired before it even feels heavy. I focus on stretching those hamstrings out.
boy do i feel it, I went to pick up a pencil and almost fell lol.

probably stopping here until my low back catches up. It feels light but I develop a ton of pressure there. I stop at these reps due to that, I could pick up way more but focus on just getting max stretch and pop up cant really hold as long as id like, but they feel very good.

lying curls
80 x 16 up 10lbs
90 x 17 up 10lbs
hams getting STRONG i probably coulda eeked out a few more reps but it was hurting(from the stretch) so i pussed out a little
i saw a video of either mike israetel, or jay cutler saying he never sees anyone train their hamstrings with intensity like they do other body parts. I keep that in mind now all the time and really just grit my teeth down and pull.

wide and high leg press, we're not fucking around anymore
365 x 20 up 25lbs
385 x 20 up 25lbs

db reverse lunges woops i forgot i had to do these next lmao
45 x 30

sweaty mess

went ahead and tried leg press calves and felt pretty good
usually do calf raises but wanted to see if it feels any different or better
not sure i prefer them over calf raises so probably just go back sunday.
it was hard no doubt

mostly the same idea as yesterday. no real changes. might have to swap protein and carbs here and there since I ran out unexpectly of some stuff (walmart was out) but will be on point regardless.

bjj day 2, woo, push day

combo breaker, weight 185.6
thought i was gonna be super sore and heavy. was pleaseantly surprised.

knees were a little sketchy from playing turtle, they were super tight yesterday but loosened up nicely overnight.

sleep initially was super shitty, and woke up at 2 am, ohshit.jpeg, ended up falling back asleep and pushed my alarm 15 minutes to 315, perfect, went from i feel like shit god no, to waking up refreshed.

got a good push day in.
skipped incline press, just wasnt hitting right so said screw it and went to incline dbs. perfect! got a real good feel on it. my chest is soooo tight right now.
i expect to be a little heavy tomorrow im def gonna be a little sore since I havent had a really nice chest day in a minute.

Fst 7 on shoulder movements and I brutalized them with lat raises. Just freaking murdered them.

overall good day, i do feel like I missed something for some reason but not sure i coulda done anymore. cant quite put my finger on it.
might have been my weight making me feel off, since i think i was little dehydrated. gonna hydrate today for sure, tomorrow pull day.

cable lat raises with cuff fst 7
12.5 for 3 sets then upped to 16.5 for last few, and last set dropped to 12.5 again.
shoulders were burning up. really went for it.

incline dbs

65 x 12
overloaded 5lbs on everything from last push

seated machine fly

120 x 16

went with ab machine again due to time constraint
225 x 18
225 x 18
245 x 16
245 x 16

rough meal idea, ran out of smoked meat, and little time for prep w-f for meal prepping so went for the good ole boiled grey chicken.

honeslty I havent had plain ass boiled chicken in a minute. no spices nothing. Strangely i really like the plainness of it.

not sure what it reminds me off but its like I missed you grey chicken, nice to meet you again. you saved me in my time of need.

Glad we held calories for this week to see what adding the BJJ back in does to your weight.

It's a bunch of calories we weren't burning for the last few weeks.

Feel stronger now than you did 8 weeks ago when rolling?
