I agree. Photos dont do justice to scenes like this. Photos only capture what the eyes see, but they fail to capture the sounds, the smells, the breeze, the calm, and the experience.Stellenbosch wine farms the, Sky reflection off the lake… I don’t think the camera did this photo justice because this was awow moment the heavens declare the handiwork of God

.Nice@HFO3
I took this pano from the Triggerfish Brewery in Somerset West.
The Hottentots Holland mountains. This area reminds me so much of the Sonoma wine country but these mountains make the views from those wine farms around Stellenbosch so much more dramatic.

I’ve seen this before, I lived in CA and there were a couple towns that had wild Green Amazon parrot flocks. It might not be the most spectacular picture but it is definitely some crazy shit. I live in the New York New Jersey area and maybe 15 or 20 years ago, there was a fire in a pet shop. It turned out the owner had been importing illegal green parakeets because they were breeders. A few pair escaped from the fire and now they live all over the place, it's just fucking nuts that they come from the Amazon Jungle and thrive in New Jersey!
But the winters? Was it as cold as it gets here? That's what amazes me! I mean at least in Ca, they can fly to Mexico for the winter.I’ve seen this before, I lived in CA and there were a couple towns that had wild Green Amazon parrot flocks.
That’s a really good question. Doesn’t usually get much below 50° in SoCal in the winter so they don’t migrate. But the winters? Was it as cold as it gets here? That's what amazes me! I mean at least in Ca, they can fly to Mexico for the winter.
I gotta tell you. These fucking birds are ridiculously intelligent. They started nesting around the canisters that hold the cooling oil on the electrical transmission lines around here so they stay warm in the winter. It's kind of fucked up because every now and again. One of those transformer boxes blows up and there's roasted parakeets laying around. That’s a really good question.
