I've been reading up on true compression gear for lifting and recovery. Does anyone have any experience with high end gear? The idea of it for recovery makes sense increasing blood flow etc. talking tops and bottoms

depends what you mean by compression gear.

I wear the UA compression baselayer and love it. I suspect you are talking about somethign else?

I'm talking about like skins or 2xu which is same concept but more compression and targeted to specifics areas. Kinda like next level above ua and Nike

Interesting stuff. I'm a technical deep diver (to 300+ ft) so performance is always an important thing. Between Man ho'ing almost 300pds of gear to the water line, or coming out of the water with all that weight on, its important.

I use compression wear when playing futbol, and i definitely notice a difference in recovery afterwards. Not as sore after, the soreness I have goes away quicker compared to when I play in tournaments without it.

Do you just wear while playing? Or also wear after for recovery?

That's one of the brands I've been looking at. They have several levels and specific ones for training and others for recovery

Depends. When I had a big leg day, and a tournament the next day, what I would do is ice bath after leg day and wear my compressions. I'd be legit good to go the next day, soreness was almost all gone. I've done it with just the ice bath/no compression, and I'd still be a bit sore. The compressions don't completely "change the game", but they're a good supplement if you've got a heavy lifting schedule.

Thanks for info going to get a pair of pants to try the high tech ones claim knee and hip support could be nice when squatting or maybe for recovery.

I bought a long sleeve compressionz brand shirt it's very tight hard to put on and take off. Obviously no performance advantage other than holding everything tight. The first time I wore it my forearms and shoulder were aching from working out and about 30min later I notice the pain was gone there might be something to using this for recovery

This stuff is good for recovery and on nights when upper body is aching i sleep in it and makes a huge difference in comfort level
