I recently did away with some supplements that couldn’t justify buying anymore, iv been thinking about adding Collagen, what Ive read sounds good, but I’m wanting to get opinions from the forum, what do you think ? Thanks!

I used collagen powder for awhile for a torn labrum and for awhile after and it seemed to help, but I was also running BPC157 & TB500 so hard to tell.

It’s not a bad option imo if you can afford to run GH all year around. You will have to try it for some time and see. Costco often has good deals on it.

I used collagen supps in one form or another for many years and my joints still got worn down. would they have worn down faster without them, who knows. I tend to think things would have ended up the same. The body seeks balance and only uses what it thinks it needs no matter how much some one pushes any one thing into their system.

Thanks! I think I’ll give it a try.

Collagen can be a good addition, especially for joint health, skin, and recovery. It’s not a magic supplement, but some people notice better joint comfort or less soreness. If your diet’s already solid, it could be worth trying for a month or two to see if you feel a difference.

Collagen’s a solid add-on good for joints, skin and recovery. Definitely worth trying!

I added collagen recently and it's been great for my skin and recovery. It's not a miracle supplements, but it really helps if you're consistent.

I’ve used collagen myself and it is definitely helped with joint comfort and recovery so it’s worth adding back in if you’ve trimmed down your other supplements.

Yeah, collagen peptides are a good add-on. They can help with joint health and recovery. Worth giving a try if you train hard.

Beware collagen is total garbage as a protein source. I realized that after a year on the stuff.

I use Collagen Peptides by Vital Proteins.
A good buddy of mine is there marketing director for years and he used to ship me all kinds of free goodies.
They sell them at Target now. Good stuff.

From what I been reading it seems like marina collagen is better than bovine collagen. If I try it again I will use the marina because I wasn’t impressed with bovine.

I used collagen for many years from different sources but can't say it made a difference as i was getting plenty of aminos from other sources. If the body wants to break the peptide up for uses elsewhere it will. Can't say i have seen any decent studies that show collagen peptides are more likely to be shuttled into collagen synthesis then plain aminos are.

Collagen bioavailability is extremely low unfortunately. Wish it wasn't!
I felt like such an idiot after spending a fortune of Vital Proteins for well over a year. Kudos to their marketing department for taking the cheapest, lowest grade protein (typically skin, bones, and cartilage) and getting a hot bitch like Jennifer Aniston to promote it.

If you want help with collagen, I recommend HGH, KLOW and Deca. All will contribute to actual collagen synthesis.

Here's the bioavailability ranking of this crap.
