Hi Guys,

Just after a bit of advice, I've currently got some Clen and T3 on order, just wondering what the most effective cycle you guys have ran as I've read anything from 2 weeks on 2 weeks of can work to 6 weeks on can work also?

BTW I'm 6"2, 17.5 stone with 20% bodyfat. What results can I expect within what timescale?

Thanks in advance.

Bob

20% indicates that you have a lack of proper nutrition. get that in check. its easy to lose at that bodyfat. once you start getting stubborn fat then you can think about clen and maybe t3.

and by the general feel of your post, you don't know diet wise what youre doing. if you do however, post your macros.

honestly the way I see it is, even with clen, if youre fat its not going to benefit you nearly as much. sure it may burn an extra pound a week, but it really shines for mobilizing stubborn fat one you try to dip below your set point.

the most useful thing for op I think would be konjac root (soluble fiber), or any other appetite suppressants. bromocriptine I hear is a good dieting tool. lyle McDonald says it can trick the body into thinking its not dieting.

Thanks gents, tbh the 20% gives a bit of a false picture.

I'm at 20% due to me losing a lot of weight. I got made redundant 4 years ago and let my training slip (I was looking okay) I put on a load of weight and went up over 20 stone. I eventually got my sh*t together got a job closer to my gym and decided to get things back on track. From January to April I lost the 2.5 stone using stupidly low calories and cardio then went back to my love of the weights. I realised I may have stalled my metabolism with the silly low calories so went back to a re-feed, then gradually decreased the deficit from 5% down to 20% where I lost the rest of my weight. I have been cutting now for the best part of 8 months and have stalled (yes even us fat blokes stall lol).

I'm just looking for something to kick start the weight loss again and give me something to notice in the mirror. Over the last 8 months I've noticed, obviously, the weight loss and some minor gains from creatine water retention or muscle memory whatever you want to call it but it's been a long time now that I've looked in the mirror and seen exactly the same thing which is becoming a bit demoralising.

My macros are currently a 40/40/20 split all clean food (sweet potatoes, wholegrain pasta and rice, wholegrain bread now and then, wholegrain bagels and pitta bread for carbs. Protein is made of lean chicken breasts, fillet steak, protein shakes and lean pork fillet). I'm currently on a 20% calorie deficit.

So I do have an idea on how to cut, but I need a boost as 8 months cutting takes its toll mentally.

I also want to get down as quickly as possible to start making some proper gains.

Just to add, don't need the appetite surpressants, I'm not over eating etc. my diet is on point, the fact that my bf is 20% is that I did put on a LOT of weight and I've come down to that, I'm not just a fat bloke that eats shit, fatty foods and is munching on endless calories

ok thanks for the detail. ill still say save on the drugs.

you can try a diet break. take 2 weeks and eat at maintenance calories then go back to bodyweight x12. if youre not losing at bw x12 then youre miscounting calories. I do understand the mental toll so do take the diet break. just increase to an amount that you don't gain or lose on. this will help when you get to where you want to be, so you don't binge it all back on, because trust me, it happens and it takes time to learn how to avoid that. my best advice is to take it slow. I'm around 210 right now and cutting on 2500, and I likely have a fair amount more muscle so you might want to try out 2000 calories.

Thanks Janoy, believe me mate Ive tried, I even had a holiday booked and kept track of macros while I was away, I'm constantly scanning barcodes into my app to keep track and regularly hitting the targets, it's getting on my nerves lol
It's my body weight x12 that put me at 15% deficit, I'm currently on less calories than that.

In the last number of weeks I've been on re-feed/maintenence then progressing down 5%/10%/15%/20% deficit and my weight hasn't budged lol, at least I've proved how much I can eat without gaining weight but honestly................. aaarrrrggggghhhh even if I was seeing a consistent 1lb or even 0.5lb drop per week I'd be happy but to not lose a thing for months is making me angry lol

yeah I understand man. the brain can do tricky things when it senses a prolonged deficit. you may be eating extra without even realizing it. Its documented in studies to happen. try the diet break and then go back to the deficit. it should work.

the problem is with t3, you may lose a bit, but when you come off it does have a rebound effect.

Okay, I'll give it another go, it is a bit of a mind f*ck lol.

I'm not sure where I could be missing calories to be honest I weigh or track everything that passes my lips as far as I know, my app even recognises packets of sandwiches that I buy if I'm in need of food while I'm out, I prep 15 meals on a Sunday for throughout the week so I know they're sound. I even made a sauce for the chicken as it was getting bland and worked out the macros of the individual ingredients.

I appreciate the advice though bud, and will try resetting my body before drugs.

My thought process about the T3's was that due to my excess fat then I'd lose way more than I'd put on with the rebound? Or even run ephedrine for a fortnight afterwards until my Thyroid resets?

I'm just out of ideas to be honest

Cheers mate, I appreciate the advice it's nice that I'm not going nuts lol

I don't know where I could be missing calories? I prep 15 meals to eat through the week and my app allows me to scan packets for anything I buy to track macros?

My thoughts with the T3's were that because I'm carrying a lot of fat then the loss would far outweigh the rebound? Or even run ephedrine for 2 weeks after the cycle until my Thyroid returns to normal?

I'll try resetting my metabolism in the first instance thanks bud.

(I did type this reply earlier but it said a moderator had to approve it? Could it have been the swear word?

nah as far as I know we can say whatever the fuck we want haha.

look at all sauces, oils, types of meat, flavorings, whatever.
and no the t3 rebound absolutely sucks. its not just fat gain. its a bunch of water, bloat, and all kinds of weird shit. I wouldn't mess around with it. I personally stay on 50mcg t3 just because its easier to control with all the dieting and stuff I do. also helps keep the digestion moving taking in 300g protein. also tren and aas lower t3 a bit, so do other things I'm taking, so I'm better off staying with it.
