Phosphagen HP was the shit back then. I didn’t mind the taste of Myoplex that was in the big packets. I remember Twin Labs protein tasting like straight up chalk

He nearly died from Covid. Doing better now.

He’s worth at least 100 million after selling EAS.

He was smart with muscle media magazine. Felt like it was telling you straight. Instead of muscle and fitness Joe weider bullcrap.

Good ole' myoplex and myoplex deluxe.

I liked Betagen (creatine/hmb) and Cytovol (Glutamine, Taurine and AKG/Alpha-keto-glutarate)

Took all his stuff back in the day. Think I still have some his Anabolic Update Fliers.

Yep have three. Be interesting to read them again 35yrs later

Be great if you could take pics or scans to post up. I would love to read these too.

Ok will post the pages out of each flier for everyone to read.
I used to have a big stack of these, along with several editions of his anabolic reference guides and other books but I’m not sure if they’re in storage in a box somewhere or gone.

Those books were like body building bibles back then. Wish i still had them myself the research and info were awesome.

We’d mix ultimate orange with diet Mountain Dew back then.. that was the ultimate pre workout before there was pre workout

I was a big time reader of Flex back in the day, mid-90s, and I saw an ad for Phillip's Supplement Guide. When it arrived I completely forgot I had ever ordered it. This was old school time, when you had to fill out the form from the mag and mail it off with either a check or money order. I would flip through that religiously during summer break. Finally saved up enough for some Phosphagen---remember how much creatine was in the mid-90s?!

I liked Muscle Media. It was a smaller mag than Flex only because it didn't have nearly as many ads. Good articles and routines. Phillips had a great marketing principle to selling his supps and books. I had the Body for Life book and he had a cookbook as well. Decent recipes and a far cry from Douchette's $200 version.

Betagen was great. They also had a protein bar that I liked. It was also called Myoplex if memory serves. Bought plenty of Myoplex back in the day. Had my best growth when I used that, along with the Betagen and Phosphagen. Helped that I was also in my earlys 20s. I could still drink after work---was a waiter---and still packed on size.

Gonna start TRT in a month so hoping to get same gains like that, granted, sans the booze. Well, at least way more moderately than before.
