Had one.last Wednesday and.nothing was said about that. One of my wife’s doctors said she won’t be doing over the phone conferences with patients after Nov. 1 st. My wife asked why and was told ,they think it’s going to be everywhere , anyone hear this ?
Same for my GP. Always been that way.Mine said to schedule an in person visit before ordering bloodwork
Wow, I just had a telehealth visit with my PCP 3 weeks back and was able to get blood work, an ultrasound of my kidneys, a sleep study and a script for a CGM ordered from the same virtual appointment.Mine said to schedule an in person visit before ordering bloodwork
My urology appointment was changed to in-person. She said that it was a health emergency provision that allowed for the telemedicine visit and the emergency wasn't continued. I presumed it was either a state level thing where I am or related to the interruption in federal operations. One of my wife’s doctors said she won’t be doing over the phone conferences with patients after Nov. 1 st. I see my GP twice a year for checkups more if something is wrong. But those 2 checkups I always get bloodwork. I do blood work 3 or 4 times a year on my own just stay on top of things and to keep the doctors honest I guess you'd say. I don't fully trust any of them.Wow, I just had a telehealth visit with my PCP 3 weeks back and was able to get blood work, an ultrasound of my kidneys, a sleep study and a script for a CGM ordered from the same virtual appointment.
Dont blame you. Plus if you are ordering bloods far more regularly than ins will cover without a valid reason its not worth going through GP. You can buy your own labs much cheaper with a number of recommendations on this forum vs paying out of pocket via your GP typically. Plus your GP will not see the results if that is of concern to you.I see my GP twice a year for checkups more if something is wrong. But those 2 checkups I always get bloodwork. The hormone panels I DON'T get from physicians. None of their business. It would be rather obvious to put it mildly.Dont blame you. I waited a month and tried again. They ordered bloods without an appointmentWow, I just had a telehealth visit with my PCP 3 weeks back and was able to get blood work, an ultrasound of my kidneys, a sleep study and a script for a CGM ordered from the same virtual appointment.
..or we could be acting normally.I did three virtual physical therapy appointments recently.
If that sounds oxymoronic to you too, you might be normal.
My endo just wants to see bloodwork every 6 months, so I’m hoping I can do the visit over the phone, I don’t want to lose her! She’s pretty good about giving me things I ask for, with in reason. My test script is for 1ml a week , but she only wants me to do 1/2 ml so I get a 10 ml vial every 10 weeks.convenient the way things are right now.I could be totally wrong here because I’m just repeating what I was told by my PCP last time I went. I’m not sure about online places but when I ask if I could just do a virtual interview for the follow up appointment she told me yes but from now on patients had to have one in person visit and then up to three virtual follow up visits for that particular issue. I don’t see the big deal though. She said it was because virtual visits were causing too many misdiagnoses. Like what’s the big deal? I havnt seen the actual doctor herself in probably a couple years now. All I ever see is a wanna be doctor and all he ever does is refer me to a specialist. So I basically drive an hour to her office, sit and wait in the office for another hour before being seen and then it takes the wanna be about 3 minutes to say well you”ll have to see a specialist for that. Oh and god forbid I ask for something super important like an antibiotic or bloodwork. It’s like pulling fucking teeth. They don’t want to do anything for you especially write a prescription for anything. I mention hormones and he looks at me like a deer in headlights. You’d think I was asking him questions about nuclear fusion or wormholes. Actually I’d bet he knows more about them than he does about hormones.
